@smitty-81 Just a gut feeling. If the rumour is true that Ram Man and MEF are up next in the CC, then there will be few main characters left, at which point I have a hard time imagining that Mattel will release a wave consisting of something like Shokoti, Nepthu, Game Master, and Zilora. 

They're gonna get to the end of the main cast (probably by the end of this year at the rate they're going), pat themselves on the back for "a job well done", end the line as we know it, and then shove a brand new line in our faces starting over from scratch with the same characters yet again.

I hope it is Flutterina.  But I pretty much ignore all the teases in the artwork. I don't give a rat's ass about teases, leaks or even official reveals. I only care about actually getting the figure in my hands. Don't know what I mean?  Then just look at Neco-Conda. All the teases & reveals over the past year have done nothing for me. After being hyped-up & excited for almost 1 full year, I still don't have that figure in my collection. Same goes for Lord Grasp, Vypor, Terroar, Extendar, Night Stalker & Demogorgon.  I don't care about teases or reveals unless the figure will be in stores at the same time. 

I wonder how many figures they will show at the 2024 SDCC that won't be released until Summer of 2025?

I know I'm in the minority, but I actually want the line to end. I'm getting tired of toy collecting.  I'm sick & tired of how toy collectors only care about the newest releases & you never hear about yesterday's over-hyped figures. The hobby is nothing but chasing after the latest reveals & teases. But once the figure has been released you never hear about them anymore. I remember the insane hype & FOMO over Duplico, the Skeleton Warriors & every Mattel Creations exclusive. Now nobody cares anymore. Nobody cares about Rokkon or Sy-Klone anymore & have moved on to Extendar. They only care about the new reveals so they can keep the speculation, hype & FOMO going constantly.  

I went to my local toy shop & they already have a ton of the current figures that are still in Walmart & Target for full retail in plastic bags in the junk pile.  That's what I'm talking about. Toy collectors buying up everything "NEW" & then losing interest in about a month & hocking it off as worthless garbage/junk. Because they're not actually in it for the figures, they only care about the hype & FOMO. Remember the insane hype over Wun-Dar? I saw Wun-Dar & He-Skeletor for $20-$25 in my local shop. I traded in some junk Star Wars figure I got at Ross for $4.99 for He-Skeletor. Yeah, I got He-Skeletor for $5. 

I'm just tired of the entire scene. I'm really looking forward to Origins ending so I can stop this nonsense. And I truly don't care at all about"DEEP-CUT" characters. I didn't buy Kol-Darr because I didn't know or care who he was. And I still don't! I want to sit back & enjoy my collection & never have to worry about finding new releases. I don't like "TOY-COLLECTING".  And I hate "TOY-HUNTING". I like "TOY-COLLECTION" as in a finished, complete collection. No more of this FOMO crap. And no more of the Youtube influencers hyping up every single thing. 

The whole situation is friggin ridiculous if you step back & seriously look at it. Modern toy collecting is about as much fun as getting your teeth drilled.

@sci-fitsunami You know you can stop collecting anytime, right? Mattel isn't forcing you to buy all their MOTU products. If you hate the whole experience so much, why are you waiting for the line to officially end in order to stop? That's bizarre thinking. 

And I for one do care very much about deep cut characters. Seeing how far along Origins (both vintage and cartoon collection) has gotten, we are at a point where another opportunity has arisen to finally give us figures of more obscure characters that even the mighty, all encompassing Classics line was never able to get to. It would be absolute madness to not take advantage of this reality while it's there. There are so many characters unique to Filmation that I want to be able to get my hands on after 40+ years of waiting. How is this lost on a MOTU fan??

Because I want to "COMPLETE" my collection. I'm waiting for the last of the Vintage 80s figures to be released. After that I'm done. But Mattel is dragging it out. They revealed Extendar & Night Stalker a f*****g year ago! 

I also HATE the Filmation cartoon. I was a MOTU fan for a year before Filmation came along & screwed everything up. I was a MOTU fan who had the original mini-comics & the awesome ADULT fantasy artwork on the boxes. Filmation came along & turned a franchise that was geared towards teens/adults into baby/toddler garbage.  I REJECT the cartoon!  I reject stupid, goofy, babyish characters like Cringer, Orko, Broom, Madame Razz & Imp. Those characters turned MOTU into a stupid babyish joke on the level of Sesame Street & the Smurfs. Filmation MOTU = Looney Tunes!

MY MOTU is the MOTU on the box of the original Castle Grayskull. Adult fantasy art on the level of the R-rated Conan The Barbarian movies. And the artwork of Frank Frazetta & Boris Vallejo. The Sorceress does not "live" in Castle Grayskull. Grayskull is a mysterious, abandoned ruin that He-Man & Skeletor fight over. Whoever can combine both halves of the Sword Of Power can unlock Grayskull. THAT is MY MOTU. I reject the BS Filmation introduced to lower the age-range to babies & toddlers. If you want that baby crap go watch the Smurfs or The Snorks or Q-Bert.

The 80s cartoons ruined a ton of the toy lines like Transformers, Thundercats, Gobots, Rock Lords, MOTU, Princess Of Power & Centurions. They turned an awesome toy franchise into that a teenager could enjoy into goofy, toddler pre-school crap.

I also started my post with "I KNOW I'M IN THE MINORITY!"  I hate most of the 80s cartoons! I was already too old for them at the time. I prefer the more adult cartoons like vehicle Voltron, Silverhawks & GI Joe. The ones that didn't add a bunch of goofy/baby characters like Cringer, Imp, Orko or Snarf.

And I don't want "deep-cut" characters at the expense of actual characters that appeared in the original vintage line. Kol-Darr could have been Dragstor or Rio-blast. See what I mean?  Because of your "deep-cut" characters, I am forced to wait years for Dragstor & Rio-Blast. Those 2 characters could/should have been in my collection already. I HATE modern-toy collecting & I am only sticking around until I can complete my collection. Which could have been done already if Mattel hadn't artificially dragged it out with Rulers Of The Sun, The Cartoon Collection & Turtles Of Grayskull .
