I don't really know. I rarely ever shop on EE. I just happened to see BA Skeletor & Snake Sorceress Teela (Sold Out everywhere else) up for pre-order so I put an order in. BA Skeletor got canceled almost immediately & now Teela.

I also ordered Teela from Kiddinn. They canceled that order but then she showed up again. I didn't bother ordering from them a 2nd time. I ended up getting my Teela from Amazon Global shipped from Australia. Which is totally ridiculous considering it's an American toy line from an American company & I'm in America. 

I no longer sleep on Masterverse. I learned my lesson. Never know which ones are going to sell out. I never thought a Skeletor variant would join Webstor as super ultra rare.

(WARNING INCOMING RANT! I need to vent somewhere. lol)

I don't understand this at all.

Just got this email from EE:
Unfortunately, we're sorry to report that the manufacturer has notified us that we will not be receiving any additional shipments of the MOTU Masterverse Wave 14 Sorceress Teela Figure (Item MTHYC58) you ordered, because they have discontinued production of this item. (They did the same exact thing with BA Skeletor.)

Back in the 80s I got a puppy. We had it fenced off in the kitchen. We went out one night & the puppy got out & decided to chew up a bunch of my MOTU figures. I had no problem going to the store & replacing them all. It had been a year or two later & they were still in stores, even wave 1. No problem!  But these days, the figure sells out everywhere within a month and THAT'S ALL FOLKS! 

WTF? Snake Sorceress Teela & BA Skeletor sold out immediately & Mattel completely cuts production, leaving money on the table & feeding the God**** scalpers?

I just don't get it. These toy companies don't make any sense these days. Hasbro has been reissuing hard to get Transformers like crazy lately. I wish Mattel would do the same. Whatever happened to the Origins "Fan Favorites" reissues? They were on the right track with that but it seems that stopped too. I was really hoping they would reissue Slamurai because I needed the white bodies for customs. As a customizer this is really annoying/frustrating. Because I think of ideas later, after the figure is no longer available & the scalpers jacked the prices up. They give us NO TIME! If you don't buy up everything you need within the first couple weeks you're screwed!  I gotta be clairvoyent.  While some other figures are everywhere & they can't even give them away (Sun-Man, Revelation Moss-Man etc.) 

And why is Mattel Creations always sold of everything? Isn't that supposed to be the 1 place we can all go to get this crap? Most of the figures aren't even listed on their own website. That's supposed to be the place for us to go directly to Mattel to purchase their product. Isn't that the whole f**king point? They manufacturer it & then we buy it? Why are they making it impossible to buy their product? They only have 1 job to do and they can't even do that right. WTF? And the stores refuse to stock it too. The stores also only have 1 job to do & they can't f**kin do it.

Mattel could hire me to monitor all the figures & let them know which one are SOLD OUT and shooting up in price on the aftermarket. I could tell them which ones need another production run. And then they could sell them as Mattel Creations exclusives. See how easy that was? Problem solved! But no! They won't do anything like that. They'd rather keep things the way they are now. They could easily put Webstor, Stratos, BA Skeletor & Snake Sorceress Teela in their own special reissue wave. Also, the latest Mer-Man is shooting up in price.   

In this case it doesn't matter because I already got Snake Sorceress Teela & totally forgot about this order. But if I really needed this figure & was counting on EE to deliver I'd be so pissed! 

And, how does EE put up a pre-order not knowing right from the start that Mattel had already cut production? We all know! How does EE not know?  

And if I rant about this, there's always a million toy collectors who will attack me & defend incompetent/dysfunctional Mattel and all the stores. I just had 1 A-Hole tell me that I should quit collecting because I'm not mentally fit to stay in the game. Implying that I have mental problems because the stores don't restock. 2 things that aren't even related. His comment made no sense whatsoever but that didn't stop him from posting it anyway. It was such dumb comment, not well thought out at all. But that's the toy collecting community for ya. Attack each other before thinking.  

When it comes to Origins Mattel could release two and three packs like of yore to Cretins with paint changes or extra accessories and absolutely clean up. Folks would buy them for just an individual variant and/or a character they were missing. Same with former fan channel and exclusives - Hasbro do it all the time.

But the truth is Mattel are easily the dumbest company in the market. MOTU is on fire but in completely the wrong way 😳 

A look at the front packaging for the Masterverse Masters of the Universe "New Etheria" SHE-RA Action Figure that is still available for pre-order at the Walmart Collector Con page.

@admin It is interesting to see Mantenna in this fight scene when he has not yet been produced via the Princess Of Power subline, which is more based on the Filmation designs, but anyway, discontinuity is something we have to get used to at this point, unfortunately. Let's just celebrate these various updates of our beloved characters.

I would most definitely suggest ordering her from Entertainment Earth and not Walmart given Walmart's 'canceling orders' track record.

Mantenna is one of my most wanted Masterverse figures.  But I totally ignore the box art. They put the Fright Fighter on one of the boxes. The Fright Fighter is probably my most wanted MOTU toy period. But we all know we'll probably never get  new one, not even in Origins. And King Hiss was on a box, I hope he's coming soon. I want him more than Cobra Khan.

I doubt we'll get the two giants, they're more likely to pop-up in Origins (which won't be a bad thing if they make them the same size as their vintage versions). 

@abaddon I'm actually surprised that we're so close to completing the full list of period characters. Now, if I were to speculate on the future of these names, a small number would be immediately removed from the field of possibilities: Twistoid, Rotar, Mutlibots, Extendar, Rio Blast, and, as you said yourself, Megator and Tytus. In a way, I wouldn't mind, because most of them, like Zoids and Giants, don't necessarily need to be updated by their very nature. In my opinion, the generic mold that is commonly used at Motuc has much less impact on the aesthetic and technical aspects of these characters, which makes them even more compatible with any Masterverse figure.

Personally, I would only look at New Eternia, since some of the designs of the new cartoon doesn't work for me and, more importantly, doesn't full "mesh" with NE, stylistically (imho). 

But yes, having most of these on the shelf, it's starting to be an impressive assortment. I just hope Mattel sticks with NE and pushes forward; maybe a little faster than the past year or two. The rollout just felt very very slow.... which is probably owed to the sub-line creep they have fallen into across Origins and Masterverse.

Personally, I would only look at New Eternia, since some of the designs of the new cartoon doesn't work for me and, more importantly, doesn't full "mesh" with NE, stylistically (imho). 

I certainly wouldn't be against Mattel releasing New Eternia versions of Stinkor, Spikor, Scareglow, Sorceress and Clamp Champ at some point. Especially Scareglow ... Mattel are leaving money on the table with that one. 

I'm probably in the minority on this, but I feel Mattel dropped the ball with New Eternia Whiplash and Jitsu (and to a slightly lesser extent, Battle Armor He-Man), so I'm more looking forward to Vintage Collection versions of those. Unless Mattel wants to revisit those in New Eternia, which is a possibility given the second NE Beast Man release. 

@abaddon Yeah, it seems like NE is a fertile field for reinventing these characters in perpetuity (the Mark Taylor-inspired design of Skeletor with the bone throne being another example). For me, it is absolutely necessary to see them work on Jitsu again, which I persist on depicting as an accidental occurence (lol). I'd also like to see at least one more iteration of Whiplash, this time inspired by the "The Clash of Arms" mini-comics, where he wears a striking color combination: purple, orange, and green. A redesigned tail (longer and structured with ball joints all the way around) would also be incredible.

Genius! I'm 100% on board with this idea. 'The Clash of Arms' is one of my top 5 MOTU vintage mini-comics and I wanted to see something similar done with Whiplash when the MOTUC Ultimates line was a thing.

Why is it so hard for Mattel to make the face look as beautiful as the box art?? I'm tired of these failures.

@durendal 2D vs 3D some people are beautiful from all angles but they are the exception.

Reminds me of the movie Evil-Lyn figure. The box art perfectly captured her cold hearted pretty diva expression from the movie while the figure give total kind old lady vibes.
