...WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM THURSDAY EVENING THROUGH
SATURDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow possible. Total snow accumulations
  in excess of 6 inches possible.

* WHERE...Portions of northern Indiana and southwest Michigan.

* WHEN...From Thursday evening through Saturday morning.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Areas of
  blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The
  hazardous conditions could impact the Friday morning and Friday
  evening commute.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...System snow Thursday evening will
  transition to bands of heavy lake effect snow Friday into Friday
  night. Intense snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour will be
  possible within dominant lake effect snow bands. The heaviest
  snowfall and potential major impacts favor northern La Porte
  and southwest Berrien counties where localized amounts may
  exceed a foot.

* WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow expected. Total snow accumulations
  of 12 to 18 inches in northern La Porte County and southwest
  Berrien County. 

I'm in Cleveland OH, and did we get it lastnight. It's been super cold last few days, negative digits but not much snow untill today. I woke up and there is over a foot outside my door right now. Gonna be a great drive into work lol.

Total accumulation for our storm was 35 inches of snow.

I am so glad Summer is two thirds over, and Autumn will be here before I know it.  

Here you go. Final fall was 38" - 

Fours days of near 40 weather, lots of rain and no sign of this letting up.  All icicles are gone and there are big patches of grass showing through the melting snow.  I hate when this happens.  In my youth, a thousand years ago, when we got twenty or thirty inches of snow it would remain on the ground until spring.  Times have changed.  

Weather here was bad a while to, for some weeks public transportation literally died.  

We're down to a few patches of snow...  

I'm worried our winter is over...

We just got dumped on today! It snowed for close to 10 hours... and it looked beautiful!

If this keeps up for tomorrow, we may have a snow day come Monday! (And an extra day of skiing!!)

WOW, Orn!  I'm soooooo jealous!  Where do you live?

Almost everything we had has melted.  Just a few scattered patches remaining.  Supposed to be in the 50s (!) this coming week in Northwest Indiana.  I'm thinking winter is over for us.    Looks like the Groundhog was right.

We're at the foot of the Rockies in beautiful Colorado!

And, it's happening again... it has been snowing since 9am this morning! The high country has been getting it since yesterday morning, so all of the resorts are loving it. I can't wait to see what kind of powder the slopes got when I get up there!

Yeah, I read about that.  Cracks me up that it's major news when the most the East Coast will be getting is ten inches or so and we had thirty-six inches a couple weeks ago.  Then again, we're just in The Heartland here.  Sumner Redstone, the late Chairman of Viacom, once said "The Midwest is a flyover zone between New York and L.A."  What Mr. Redstone didn't know is that we like it that way.  Just keep those jets up at thirty thousand feet...
