Apparently the breaking SDCC reveal is a set of Tuvar and Baddrah that can combine into Two Bad, but here's the unexpected twist - it's going to be in the CC, not VC. Utterly bizarre considering that they were never separate characters in Filmation.

This set looks cool, but this is strange to me as well. I was expecting Vintage Collection Two Bad, not Cartoon Collection. Does this mean that we will still get a regular single carded Vintage Collection version of (already combined) Two Bad? To me, this SDCC version does not count as "completing the vintage line" like Mattel promised.

@karot-top if Mattel keeps their word VC will be released eventually thru MC. Just weird we got this one first

@karot-top I don’t think it counts as “finishing the Vintage characters” either, but I guess it’s a bonus, and a way to give us “some” Two Bad goodness, while their focus is on CC and ToG anyway.

I do rather think the “vintage” Two Bad will be a fully combined figure, somehow I doubt Mattel will do the same trick twice… but who knows!

So yeah, to me this is a nice bonus, an extra treat who can stand in for vintage TB for now, and since Two Bad is one of my favs, I don’t mind having him in two versions!

@karot-top we may yet, and likely will, get a VC Two-Bad.

Just watched this and he only kinda points out the butterfly is colored like Flutterina. No mention of She-Ra.

 

So here is exactly what Mattel's Graphic Designer and Art Director Roy Juarez said regarding the easter eggs found on the Masters Of The Universe: Origins "Cartoon Collection" Prince Adam and Cringer set:

When the Graphic Designer and Art Director of MOTU figures says the easter eggs are strategically placed and to stay tuned, we don't know for certain, but since action figures is his business, there is at least a decent chance he is teasing new figures.

So we see Tri-Klops on the box and he's from Filmation's "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe"... but we also have plenty of She-Ra characters including She-Ra herself and Swift Wind (on the "Cartoon Collection" Collector packaging), Imp, and even a butterfly that shares the colors of Flutterina. Now while we don't know anything for certain, it does feel like there is too much She-Ra being teased not to be coming to the "Cartoon Collection"... especially when we take Roy's words into account, but I guess we'll see. It would be pretty cruel to tease so many She-Ra characters on "Cartoon Collection" boxes and not give us any She-Ra figures, that is for certain! 😄

Flutterina is a She-Ra character! If Mattel can make Flutterina and Imp then they can make She-Ra!
