@lasastard his arm and legs require extension pieces. It's only his neck and torso that actually extend.

Hi, then I must have missed that in that Youtube video from a few weeks ago....that's a bummer. I get why Mattel designed the Origins figures the way they did, but the interchangability does nothing for me; would have preferred to have working action features instead. A well, I won't be playing with these and "manually" extending him for the display seems like a tolerable amount of effort 😉

@lasastard Mattel definitely makes a decision as to who gets an action feature on a case by case basis. There's a lot of factors that go into making that decision that we just don't know about. While sometimes their decisions seem inconsistent, I think fan reaction has influenced some of it.

Shipping notice for Extendar, whoo!

Anytime a new “vintage” figure comes out, I get more excited about Origins again.(Recently, I kinda felt a bit more into my Masterverse purchases)

I mean, I’m getting some selected ToG and CC figures here and there, but the “Vintage style” series is really what gets me hyped. Even when they do new characters or new (sigh) snakes. 😏

@cosmic I couldn't agree more. The VC has been the highlight of origins. Turtles of Grayskull is a lot of fun and the CC has its cool accessories, but there's is something about the prospect of a new Rio-Blast or completing the "Lost Wave" that just seems more magical.

I'm lukewarm on Mantenna since Filmation made him look so goofy compared with his classic monstrous appearance, but Filmation Hordak is my favourite version of him. I really hope they get his head right - so far, only Super7's Club Grayskull version back in 2017 accurately nailed the look.

@banthafett Paulmart is not a scalper he's a small business that offers free shipping for most US orders and no tax. He's got to cover expenses of getting his products storing them somewhere and renting a space at Frank and Son"s.

Dude you got to get in the know. Paulmart is a scalper. He marks figures up and gets his products from back channels. Mattel doesn't get paid for what he buys. What happens is the factory does a production run for more figures than Mattel wants so they can account for mistakes and damages. The factory is supposed to be tossing that overrun out but they sell it on the gray market instead and guess who's buying. 

@kraken yeah I know but Paul doesn't get those for free and the laws in most Asian countries allows for factories to do this legally. Mattel know this and account for it the the price of their products.

So Paul doesn't get his intellectually stolen property for free. He pays for it at much cheaper prices than what Mattel sells it for and then overcharges customers. How noble. 

Look at the big picture my man. If enough companies start doing what Paul is doing and less shops actually buy from authentic Mattel retailers, Mattel will stops making the Origins figures you love because sales will be in the toilet. 

Origins Nightstalker is dropping at Mattel Creations on 6/18.

@kraken This is a very interesting point.

I don’t really use Paul, sticking to BBTS and Amazon to save a few bucks here and there.

But supporting a property is a good thought. I assume what Paul sells is not thousands of figures, but still.

I know it from the book world– it is important to support the title through the channels that actually *count* on their balance sheets, if you *really* want to support it.
