I only saw the new one but the old one is on Max too and the reviews are really positive. I think I am going to watch it.. 

@he-dad I liked it a lot. The story was unique. Also has some nice twists.

I disagree with the suggestion that Salem's Lot was stupid. It was a very good miniseries that still holds 45 years later. It was one of the Stephen King adaptations that bucks the trend and does not disappoint and was crafted by a big director of the horror genre.

We were talking the remake and I watched it and agree with bunny that it's stupid but fun. The original is on Max and I decided to watch that too. It's dated and longer but arguably better and waaaaaaay less stupid. There were no vampires in the original that could survive in the daylight if they keep in the shade. During cloudy days those vampires must go rampant! 😂

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. I loved it. 

Scarface. The movie still rocks but they could never get away of darkening Al Pacino's skin and trying to pass him off as Columbian in today's world.

The Wizard of Oz.  (The original).  Really holds up.  Stunning.

Predestination was the last movie I watched. Never seen it before. Easy to figure out but still good. Currently watching The Grinch, the newest animated one.

Godfather. I watched it on AMC yesterday. Oh my god it still holds up.

@he-dad no one in my family was into those types of movies when I was a kid so not rented around me, or watched on cable. We are some times a product of our environment. But I do want to do it the right way on VHS on a CRT.

I saw the first Mission Impossible movie way back in 1996 in the theatre, but for some reason I never bothered with all the ones since then, until the past week, when I binged them all. They're incredibly good! I'd say even among the best action movies ever made. 3, 4, and 5 in particular impressed me, as did 7 and 8. The only one I didn't like very much was 2, because it has John Woo's signature cheesy style going on, which I've never been a fan of. It's very dated in that sense.
