@depp76 Did they tweak his face? He looks less "Asian" than the prototype shown at SDCC - he looks more like the vintage face now. And hmmm, without the tornado effects he could have been released on a normal card. I'm not convinced those pieces were worth the deluxe packaging.

Naturally I'll buy him anyway because Mattel has me relentlessly bent over like the good little MOTU whore that I am...

@depp76 the only thing I don't like about vintage Sy-Klone is that he looked too much like He-Man. This one look like he's got He-Man's chin and 200X Sy-Klone's eyes.

Besides sy-klone , looks to be a new uno set, and stupid magic 8 ball figure.

Happy that they are releasing SyClone now, and he looks pretty good!

I still wish they would start bundling these figures, like 4 per quarter, and not release them one-by-one. It's a really terrible model for international fans with the added cost of shipping :-/

Well, that is assuming we can even get them the first place 😀

Do you think we'll get any deluxe figures in the CC? Or MC exclusives? So far everyone they've released has just been on the standard single card. 

@durendal Sy-Klone is a deluxe and packed in the same kind of box as VC Mossman and the ToG deluxe figures.

So if they decide to throw that snake lair at us today, what do you guys think the price will be, and what it will come and what tiers?

I will get it even though it means nothing to me. I dont want them to go crazy with it, and it outshines CG, and SM. So it shouldnt be more than $100 bucks, but you know how its gonna go. As for figures, i have no idea, I’m pretty sick  of snake guys already, and dont know anymore than the ones we got already.

@banthafett I'm also sick of the Snake Men too but that is what Mattel is pushing these days. Mark my words if there is a Lair coming we're going to get snakes all year.

Unless it's massive the Snake Lair should be cheaper than CG and SM because there is no retailer markup.

They are using the same art as the boxes and they are likely doing the same print on demand situation that all of the youtubers use. I doubt much resources go into them. I also doubt they go on sale since there isn't really any stock. If they were a bit cheaper they would be much better impulse purchases \ add-ons to justify shipping but 65 is too much for a hoodie that I can have made myself for cheaper.

Sy-Klone was easy to get and he's still up. The Terroar and Lord Gr'Asp fiasco was just crap thanks to Walmart. These two really need to get released somewhere else. Anyone think there's any hope for that?

Got my Sy-Klone order in and grabbed the MOTU UNO as well!

I know a lot of people have problems with Mattel's pre-order process, but it works so much better than Walmart 's

@andy_wan_kenobi that's certainly true. Things have been much smoother lately. They seems to have upped their bot protection, I almost wonder it cutting the international market was to try and reduce the number of bots.

Geldor and Demo-Man are very out-of-left-field obscure characters, which is something I really want to see more of. I'm so bored of umpteen versions of the main dozen A-listers over and over, ad nauseam.

Anyways, they both look good, but I can't help but feel the Origins team is just flat out copying Classics at this point 😆
