I finally got Snake Goddess Teela and I have to say I love her. I kind of wish her skirt wrapped around a little more in the front, but the paint and colors and design are so cool.
I'm not big into Mastersverse, but when they get it right, they get it right!
My only problem with the Masterverse females is that ugly hip swivel cut. Classics did the female legs so much better, the ones that have the hidden swivel in the hip & the ankle tilt. Mattel perfected the female legs & then they went backwards. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!
But I'm still happy to have her in my collection. Now I hope they make Havoc Teela.

What do you mean? I can't think of a single instance in Masterverse when Mattel has revealed a bad portrait that it got BETTER at production. Human portraits are the line's biggest weakness imo.
I, for one, now take these prototypes or renders with a grain of salt; it's like asking your good old mystic mirror: "Who is the most beautiful creature in the world? Sometimes we hear/see what suits us best, for different reasons ...
There's nothing that is going to make this She-Ra portrait look better at production short of a ground up resculpt.
I think I'll just stick with my original Masterverse She-Ra. I was looking forward to an NE Teela after how gorgeous NE Evil Lyn was...but after this She-Ra I'm kinda worried...

The thigh cut is an ugly, lazy, useless point of articulation that -more often than not- ruins the sculpt. I detest it.
This is also why Masterverse will never reach the heights of Classics... bloated armor notwithstanding, MOTUC was the perfect combination of articulation, paint, and sculpt.

Aye; prime example of the figure being as stunning as the artwork. I'm not really a MV buyer, but she I got simply because she looks hot as the sun 😆

A proper Filmation She-Ra would look amazing in Mastersverse, but they just aren't committed to the nuances of that aesthetic. The one they already released was...not close enough.
So now we have two sorta iffy versions of She-Ra. An iffy Filmation and an iffy POP.
Sigh.
Yeah... I'm not very hyped about either version of She-Ra in Masterverse.
I'm hoping that some parts-swapping will make a serviceable version because I don't see Mattel making another She-Ra for sometime... unless, by some miracle, they decide to give us a Ladybird or "Bubble Power" version.

I'd actually be all over a Starburst She-Ra instead because we never got her in Classics.
WANTED IN MASTERVERSE:
Masks of Power Demons, Prince Dakon, Kobolds, Demons (The Terror of Tri-Klops!), Lodar, New Eternia Ninjor, New Eternia Dragon Blaster Skeletor, Lizorr, Hoove, '87 Movie Man-At-Arms, '87 Movie Skeletor Trooper.
I don't really care about She-Ra as much as Mermista, Netossa, Castaspella, Sweet Bee & Entrapta. I'm hoping to get more POP in Masterverse. But at least they made my #1 favorite Frosta, so if they don't make any more at least I got her. Mattel & Hasbro usually ignore my favorite characters but Frosta is the exception. Pretty soon I'll have her in Classics, Masterverse and Origins. So that's pretty cool. (see what I did there? lol)
@sci-fitsunami but will all of those be done as POP (Filmation style) releases, or as this New Etheria sub-line? The direction of Masterverse is a total mess at this point. I'm on the verge of checking out unless I see some clear communication from Mattel as to where this thing is going by the time SDCC rolls around. If they're losing completist collectors like me, they need to start getting a godamn clue. The worst thing for long term collectors is to be saddled with an incomplete line or sub-line.
Start thinking clearly Mattel.

New Eternia is the most popular of the three so you know Mattel ain't letting up there. I think we will be able to call NE a complete line too.
The bad is PoP is incomplete. Revolution stopped. The kids show figures were a dud. Vintage is too early to tell. Any others I forgot?
2 Things I've been thinking about:
1. Will Mattel actual make Havoc Sorceress Teela & finish the trio? (If they do, that thing will sell out in a heartbeat)
2. Will Mattel get the message that most fans are not happy with the new She-Ra headsculpt (along with most He-Man headsculpts)?

3. Does Mattel know how shitty Walmart is & that they should NEVER allow them to have exclusives?
Imagine one of the biggest retailers and it can't sell it's items properly. They only have 1 job to do. That's the ONLY thing a store has to do. And they can't do it. Amazing isn't it?

The movie line has a long way to go, MAA, Teela, Karg, Gwildor, God Skeletor, Saurod, Skeletor's guards and troops, Sorceress...
NE is a blessing and a curse. A lotta people enjoy the 'updates' because they own Classics or wouldn't otherwise feel the need to buy, but even at that most of us wind up with a drawer of needless crap and roody poo headsculpts. While the molds are an obvious benefit you're then looking at vintage Lyn, Beastie, Mer-Man etc all over again. Nobody wants that. Hell, we don't even know if they'll dare re-do the leads for vintage. They might!
And, inevitably, they're gonna start a whole new subline for the movie.... All told, NE actually needs to go away. The overall line has made SO many unnecessary mistakes that vintage actually left a sour taste when it eventually arrived! Focus on putting a figure from a subline in each wave or admit you're dropping them. We're already at the point where the vintage cardback lot can realistically only be done one more time. There's an imperative to make a start on finishing lines, bare minimum. Folks have lost patience.

Yes: New Adventures!!!
So far, we have only gotten three figures from the NA line. All my hopes were resting on Masterverse as the new home for all things New Adventures - especially when Slush Head was released... however, it now looks like it will be another unfinished sub-line just as it was in Classics. 🙁
The most frustrating thing about this is the fact that the MV aesthetic suits NA PERFECTLY. Just look at the upcoming NE Ninjor... I could easily see Nocturna being made the same way.
