I wouldn't say the team is copying classics because they are picking and choosing what they bring in and changing things. I'm glad that they are not outright avoiding the characters and mythos that it created and working them in.

We also don't know the other considerations that the team has in balancing their budgets. They said the Snake Playset will be a crowd fund and both Geldor and Demo Man look like they are new armor and heads with some heavy parts reuse. Even the extra heads with Demo looks like a repaint of the Alcala head and the skeleton warriors head. I'm hopeful that these efficient uses point to some interesting surprises on Tuesday that have bold tooling budgets or at least the culmination of parts we've seen for a long while like Modulok.

@smitty-81 Is that a thing in that brand? I don't collect Transformers.

@durendal some Transformers collectors have entire shelves for just one character. There's easily 20 Optimus Prime toy in just the last 5 years.

Tuesday that have bold tooling budgets or at least the culmination of parts we've seen for a long while like Modulok.

There's at least 5 vintage characters that require 95% new parts, some with no potential for reuse. 

And my Sy-Clones have already shipped! That was faster than I expected.

@dynamicg lucky. Hopefully mine ship soon but I got Rokkon early. I don't think I'll get lucky twice. 

Woohoo, Extendar. Been waiting for a long time to get my grubby hands on that figure 😉 He's been missing from my vintage collection too, not easy to get hold of in a really good condition at a fair price. 

The origins version looks great!

SyClone is in the bag, but who knows when that one will ship; my Rokkon is scheduled for the middle of May -.- The joy of being an international collector *sob*

It's gotta be thieves right? Somebody at the manufacturing plant or somebody at shipping.

@he-dad Not necessarily. The way factories work is the factory owns everything except to the tooling to make the figures. A company will hire a factory to make  X number figures, and the factory will make X plus more. once the factory has X that meet the company's QC standards those extras belong to the factory. They'll do what ever they want with them, but to make money they usually end up selling them (this is how PaulMart get his product).

Often the "defect" that make the final product not meet QC standards it very minor and almost impossible to see, unless you know what to look for.

@durendal for the VC I'd like to see Rio-Blast and Huricane Hordak. 

In the FF I'd like to see Mech-a-neck even though I already have him.

With the CC there's not much I'd get excited for excited for maybe Queen Marlena. 

I'd also like to see He-Ro and more of the lost wave however they come out. Preferably not Walmart exclusive or at least Walmart and fan channels.
