@sci-fitsunami Yeah, I would love to see Snake Men in 2025...the rest of the Horde as well...I cant wait to see Modulok, Multi Bot and Dragstor in Masterverse series...btw, I saw that Panthor will be oversized...not sure if I like that...cant we get like a regular size Panthor, just like Battle Cat was...
@yen1893 MV Battle Cat was also listed as "over sized" it's just what they call the bigger figures.

I gather I'm in the real minority here, but I think the upcoming Beastman looks great. Love that face sculpt! That said, I do understand the frustration of multiple iterations when so many characters haven't seen light of day yet.
@he-fellow the new Beast Man actually looks good, nothing wrong with the figure, but like you said, why make like 3 versions of Beast Man when you have so many other figures waiting in line...
Oh yeah, I totally forgot about Vultak. Why are they putting Cartoon Collection on Mattel Creations? I thought only Vintage Collection & oversized Masterverse were gonna be on there.
@sci-fitsunami I think his wings and his robot buddy pushed him out of the retail budget. Well find out next month I suppose.

Question: How would people feel if the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and ThunderCats invaded the Masterverse line?
>>>The Power of the Good and the Way of the Magic!<<<
@ornclown I think that would be a terrible idea. From where I am standing as a collector, Origins really fell apart for me due to all the various side projects that Mattel tried to stuff into the line. It's been taking wayyyyy to long to get through the "main" roster of characters (not to mention the vehicles, most of which we will probably never see re-issued in Origins). The fact that they had to move it to MC is still getting me a little mad (even slower turn-around, and more costly).
I suppose I like to see a light at the end of the tunnel when I start a collection. And the more branches a line opens up, the slower the overall progression feels (and effectively is, I would argue).
And with all that said, I could not care less for Grayskull'ified Turtles and Tcats. I don't even have a collection of the actual figures from their original "incarnations" and unsurprisingly no interest in a spoof version ^^
The story is slightly different for Tcats specifically. If they decided to release a standalone Tcats line, using the Masterverse tooling - that's something I might be interested in.
@ornclown i think if they just did the "main character" it would be fine.
I would think if they make MV ToG it cold be the four Turtles, Shredder, both versions of He-Man and Skeletor.
For Thundercats Lion-O and Skell-Ra would be fine.

Mattel have nothing resembling a plan as is and it's killing me. I just want to be done with at least one of the sublines in a line. They couldn't even sort out 200X within Origins and you just know they'll attempt it in Masterverse.
I would welcome ToG MV figures, though the Turtles would probably look odd in those proportions. I agree with the four Turtles, Shredder, He-Man, and Skeletor. I'd throw in another MOTU character, maybe Man-at-Arms or Mekaneck (solely because he's my favorite), and Krang and one of the mutated MOTU characters as deluxe figures.
@sketchyskeletor Haha, yeah, whatever happened to 200X in Origins?? We got He-Man, Skeletor, King Randor, and Evil-Lyn (though a half-assed repaint, repeating the mistake Classics made with her). Nothing since. Why can't Mattel even finish a godamn subline within Origins???

Don't forget Keldor and Kronis!
Like for all it would take to adapt the existing pieces and throw on a new headsculpt... that's the real reason Origins is modular in the first place!
I seem to be all in on this line as a whole. There are a ton of figures I'd still like to see made. I wasn't able to do Classics when they were out so this for me will have to do, for now that is. It's crazy that some figures are so hard to find and expensive already. Stratos going for $100 and up, thankfully I found him new for $30. I am though getting a bit tired of the He-Man, Skeletor, and Beast Man releases. I know Evil-Lyn has a lot of versions as well but she gets a pass for being a hottie.
So, Panthor is going up for preorder in a couple of hours? Who's in?
I thought about it long and hard am sadly gonna have to pass. It just looks f'ing terrible, honestly, LIke they dipped him in baby oil. I also wasn't a big fan of the overall design when Battle Cat came out. Something about the proportions is just..off. It's a tradegy because I have a feeling that sales won't be great and Mattel will take that as a sign that people aren't interested in bigger items. You know, rather than acknowledging that they may have messed up. I wasn't expecting flocking, but there has to be something between that and what we are apparently getting 😀
Ah well, bummer.
@lasastard I may decide on Panthor much later, when Mattel sells it for half the price, for example. I'm in no hurry, as I already own the Motuc version, which is superior in every way. But I share your concern about the signal this might send to Mattel and the possible radical decision to stop this kind of production. Nevertheless, and if I must be selfish for a moment, things couldn't be worse, like for instance, a certain "Mantisaur" that I've been waiting for a refresh for thirteen years now stubbornly remains in the category of "potential realizations" (Motu Origins being a striking example right here) without ever actually becoming a reality. To conclude with the large offerings of the Masterverse, Skeletor and his bony throne were recently snatched up via Amazon, as the price offered was then unhoped for (50 €), and although I only needed the figure captured in an Alcala design, this type of diorama always proves to be exploitable for someone with a sufficiently active imagination.
Yeah, it's hard to beat the Classics version of Panthor. It's a great figure/mount. I will say I've wanted a Masterverse Panthor for a while now, but like everyone else, I'm a little underwhelmed by him. IMO, he isn't BAD per se ... he just looks a little cheap. The shininess doesn't help and the Revelation design would've probably been better.
I'll probably cave and get him ... eventually. But not anytime soon.

It does look like P. Diddy, er, had a hand in it.
Panthor is definitely a miss. Just saw some in-hand pictures on Toy Habits. The shiny paint combined with the dark, eggplant purple just isn't what it needs to be. MOTU is colourful by nature - embrace the appropriate medium purple, not this toned down crap.
NEXT.
@durendal Funny, just visited Toy Habits and I think he looks better than I was expecting after seeing the promo shots. Hmmm, I might have to actually get this guy...
