I'm thinking this is more of a genuine relaunch of the line centred around movie figures and mostly hype, a new box won't cut it. The idea will be more big box retailer I reckon.

Mattel really need to stop putting factory samples in their promo pics, the production figures look so much better and they're harming sales. Skeletor doesn't look cheap now.

@mighty-thanos Yup, they could have had modern articulation Classics at retail and the sales to go with it. Now they've got three figures per wave and endlessly re-do certain characters even then.

There's a high chance the movie bombs too, there just is. A glut of unsold Masterverse movie toys is the last thing that line needs. I'd actually be surprised if they do much more than He-Man and Skel...

@he-dad They definitely need to think bigger though, especially since they can do multiple iterations AND safeguard against the movie having an adverse effect more widely. MOTU has the best rogues gal...

I hope not! Retelling collective canon as a dedicated story would be the easiest win going, you could potentially get fans and newbs really invested like the recent 'Hasbro titles'. The Netflix shows ...

@ornclown Yup, fully expecting that! Mattel didn't even have the excuse when they dumped figures everywhere but their own website... say what you like about Hasbro, they tend to put retail exclusives ...
