Mattel has just officially released new images and details for their upcoming Masters of the Universe: Origins DESPARA Action Figure. Check it out: As a loyal servant of the Horde, Despara is known for her formidable combat skills and dedication to Hordak. The last time we saw her was in the Classics line, and now we’ve brought her to the Origins line in time for the 40th anniversary of She-Ra: Princess of Power. Which is fitting, since (spoiler alert!) Despara was born as Princess Adora, the alter ego of She-Ra and the twin sister of He-Man, who helped her discover her…
We have the Power!
It comes with an interchangeable Adora head? Hell yeah. Take my damn money!
@onlyoneskeletor Did you notice her head looks cartoon like? I hope she sizes well with my Cartoon Collection She-Ra!
Never waste a good premise Mattel...glad there's some closure for Revelation/Revolution fans.
@onlyoneskeletor The style of the headsculpts look very similar. Like if there was a Filmation version of Despara this would be the Cartoon Collection figure of her.
Looks pretty good. Face sculpt is solid and appropriately beautiful. Digging the Billie Jean hair. The Horde mask is only ok, and could use more paint apps. The real downer is the re-use of Tri-Klops' swords - not only do they look way too big for her, but a character of this prominence really deserved the unique swords that she had previously been depicted wielding. Sigh. I really hoped this figure would end my need to get the Classics version, but now I'm not sure...

This right here.
Same here! I was going to skip this figure because I don't have an attachment to Despara but she looks so nice, I gotta add her to my collection. Though I (and I'd bet the rest of us) would prefer a Cartoon Collection Force Captain Adora (in red) or her second in command Lohni in that awesome steel blue armor.
Preach. I hope this means more Origins Revelation/Revolution figures to come!
Okay so when I first saw the images of this gal I was like "aw crap did Hordak have a love interest at some point who wasn't Entrapda?"
Then I read the description and was like oh yeah it's just Horde Adora nice. Her design is awesome and as a new Club Grayskull Member this might be the first of their exclusive figures I have interest in buying.
Where does she exactly come from? Is it just the ending of Revolution that sadly may or may never be resolved or is Despara like an alternate universe She-Ra that originated from an old comic?
The figure looks good, I'm getting her but mostly for the mini comic.

If I have this right, Classics then Revolution. There may have been comic book appearances too? Somebody tell me if I'm wrong.
@sketchyskeletor Not only that, but she also appeared in an ongoing comic series published by DC back in 2013. She was introduced in the latest mini-comics that came with the MOTUC Classics figures, with Mr Neitlich and his "Neitlichverse" supervising both character biographies and a few stories in paper media by then.
That was easy. I had to pack sandwiches in a picnic basket but it was easy.

Bought Club Grayskull membership. Despite being part of the UK it doesn't recognise Northern Ireland. So there goes my early access in the UK. Just tried for the early access option on the US site and a pop-up telling me about the UK site I can't use refused to go away or let me continue.
In the end I had to add Despara to cart REALLY FAST, refresh the page to avoid the box, then quickly click the cart to fool it so I could order... what is actually wrong with that f'ing bunch? 🤬 🤬

She was in the DC Comics first.
Since when did Etheria get a football league?
