More evidence that Disney needs to listen to what the fans actually want instead of trying to force feed them crap like this. I finally learned my lesson after forcing myself to sit through utter pablum like Ms. Marvel, Falcon and the Winter Soldier, She-Hulk, and Secret Invasion. Because of those unpleasant experiences, I'm really picky about what I'll watch now when it comes to the MCU. I finally smartened up and didn't bother with Echo and now this Iron Heart show can suck it too.

I am surprised Disney thought next generation replacement characters were the way to go. Their comics and figures didn't go over well so what made them think shows and movies would?

@asterstar A similar example would be if Mattel sidelined He-Man and Skeletor completely to focus on Dare and Skeleteen instead. How well would that go over?? Laugh Hordak

Mr Feige, turns out the Marvel steering committee were about the only thing holding him and his dumb ideas back. Which is why it looks like he suddenly went from guru to WTF and is still on a downward spiral. Allegedly he steps in right at the end and claims the credit, which is to say everything is 'fixed' in post production because he didn't oversee it to start with like he should, and that's why Marvel CGI is now horrific. As one instance.

Because the audience for Marvel Television is much larger than just comic book readers, and entertainment media can convert general audiences into fans of these characters. Television is lower stakes than film, and it is a more suitable testing ground for unproven characters. Since the Avengers have disbanded, their successors are the logical bridge.

Well, if He-Man died at the end of a 23-film series, and six years later, they wanted to do a television series based on He-Ro, they might be similar.
