Back in February, Masters of the Universe fans finally received an update on the long-in-development “Masters of the Universe” live-action movie. Per the Hollywood trade Deadline, the long attached Nee Brothers were out as directors and Travis Knight (director of the celebrated Transformers film “Bumblebee”) was reportedly in final negotiations to be the new director.…
We have the Power!
Don't worry Kyle Allen fans. This movie will never get made anyway.

Have you ever passed by a horrible accident of a circus vehicle full of clowns that horribly died in the most hilarous fashion? The feeling you should not look, the urge to look away and feel grossed out and sad but at the same time you just cannot look away; as if it is physical impossible?
Me neither but thats how I feel whenever I read news about the/a new MOTU movie. Especially since with how they want to make an origin story in which Kal-El Adam gets send to Earth as a kid to grow up there.
Its as if some people constantly find new ways to crack the rocks at rock bottom and yell at you "Surprise! It gets even lower!" and seem even proud of it; as if subverting expectations is something to do at all costs. Just to later realize with a surprised Pikachu face that "at all cost" is something that can be very unpleasent & far too expensive.
They need to get an unknown bodybuilder that looks like He-Man and can act fairly decent NOT AN ACTOR. That's how Conan and the first He-Man did it with Arnold and Dolph. This is about nailing the look first.
I viewed Masters of the Universe recently and was again astonished how well Dolph acted in that movie. Certainly he would never be graced with an acting award mate but his inability to act I found to be a misnomer.

I'm hoping that story is going to change bro. I mean how can they know the story before the new writer rewrites it? We gotta have faitha faitha faith!

What's Noah Centineo doing these days? He's done jack shit since Black Adam bombed 🤣
@firmpulse He would be a great barbarian He-Man mate but his age and face has too many miles for a Prince Adam.

@durendal i remember being sooooo excited when noah announced he was playing he-man on the tonight show 😭 i remember thinking that if he is allowed to just publicy announce it like that, then we must be soooo close to getting an actual movie. 😅
Any day now well be watching it in the theater!

@elder @firmpulse I don't know why everyone thinks Prince Adam and He-Man has to be played by the same actor. All they need to do is hire a younger actor that looks similar to their He-Man actor. Problem solved.

Because time waits for no one, and that young actor cast to play Prince Adam will not remain young forever. He will age up quickly, and the filmmakers will be in the same predicament as when they started. Any studio undertaking this project is doing so for franchise potential, and they need a solution that will work across multiple films and multiple years. Using the technology for Steve Rogers/Captain American in First Avenger is probably the best way to go.

There are plenty of baby faced actors out there like Tom Holland that you get while they're 19 and they are good for 10 to 12 years of movies. Maybe more. Also Prince Adam isn't supposed to stay the same age if you're doing sequels.
De-aging techniques have progressed to the point that we can barely believe our eyes anymore. If they COULD get Ritchson to play He-Man I'd love to see a film in which Adam is a little older and is King. If not just de-age Ritchson. Adam is less of a big deal to me than finding a dude that is MASSIVE and isn't a mix of a brick and a plank in the acting category. Ritchson can bring it. He was cool as Hawk. Made me want a Hawk & Dove show. He's fantastic as Jack Reacher.
At 41 Ritchson is no spring chicken. But actors clearly have access to dark magics that allow them to make movies like "Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning" like they were 21 years old.
Besides that, Kyle Allen isn't exactly Mr Olympia. There was more than likely going to be some CGI involved on the He-Man side of things. I'd much rather have CGI on the Adam side (ala Steve Rodgers/Captain America: The First Avenger as Adam_Prince Of Eternia pointed out above) than on the He-Man side.
(None of this really matters since it's just my dream casting anyway, and will never happen. Unless it does. Please let it happen)
