@firefly That's the price one pays for continuing the show...the comics got more and more intense, and real life issues impacted the audience that grew up around that era. I have issues with it, but you can't just ignore those things and stay as tethered to Saturday morning escapism. Any choices they make are informed by the direction of the comics and they are being faithful to that...with room for their own ideas that aren't restricted by regressive status quo resets.

This week's episode was definitely intense, and adapted one of the most shocking X-Men comic-book scenes that I have ever read!
