The moment I read the comic I completely expected her to be introduced as less license-troubled Adora/She-Ra replacement. Again something sad in my eyes because she could be something similar on a unique non Etheria world/setting and be embraced for it instead of a "not my She-Ra!" fandom splitter as the basic idea of a Skeletors daughter has appeal and can be cool things done with IMO. IF(!) that is the plan; and they have time to unfold it in the amount of episodes they plan.
This post has become strangely prophetic. I must say the idea of it being Skeletor's daughter from the prequel comics is very intriguing.

Do you know if Despara is a name Adora assumed or is it a Horde title other than Force Captain? If it's just a title then maybe there can be more than one Despara in the Horde.

If the show gets renewed, they will likely get another 5 to 6 episodes to wrap it up. I suppose they could make the 3rd season about Despara, but you couldn't really give Adora/She-Ra much justice in that time frame. Basically, the last episode would probably be her turning into She-Ra. You'd also have people complaining again about a MOTU cartoon not being about He-Man and/or Skeletor enough. She-Ra did get her own 52 episode series recently without He-Man, so I think it is ok if this show goes 20 episodes without Adora/She-Ra.
Despara was a cool idea in the comics. I have all of them, and every cover!
@firefly but you could reach an agreement with Dreamworks to allow She-Ra to appear for a season as a soft launch of their own follow up cartoon but the focus remaining on He-Man. So following season 3 of Masters you get season 1 of a new launch of She-Ra for Dreamworks where they get all the bank.Â
Sort of like how Marvel soft launched Spiderman in Civil War which led to Sony's Spiderman Homecoming.Â
They could even agree to use the same animation studio to make it feel consistent and agree to let He-Man turn up in some episodes of She-Ra. It would be win win for all concerned.Â
