Hi! I wanted to share this Skeletor pencil art I've been working on. Its eventually going to be a watercolor/ink picture. The background is inspired by 80's grid graphic backgrounds but instead of mountains I am doing Fright Zone trees, and I would like to add some planets to make it look like the skies above Eternia. Does anyone have any resources about what other planets would be visible in Eternia's sky?
I’m not knowledgeable when it comes to stuff like that but can’t wait to see this when it’s all finished and colored in
Eternia has a twin planet named Infinita. Infinita maintains an orbit opposite Eternia, so it is never visible from Eternia, because it is always obscured by the sun.
Eternia also has twin moons named Bright Moon and Dark Moon. The orbit of Bright Moon is fixed on the Light Hemisphere of Eternia, and the orbit of Dark Moon is fixed on the Dark Hemisphere of Eternia. The lunar colony on Bright Moon relays sunlight to Dark Moon to provide moonlight to the Dark Hemisphere.
The solar system in which Eternia is located has two other planets. One planet is unnamed. The other is Phantos, the kindgom of Queen Elmora, and the only source of Photanium ore in the solar system.
Those are the only ones I can think of off the top of my head. There may be others, but I would have to check the compendium.
@adam_prince-of-eternia that is helpful thank you! The finished product may not be completely in-world accurate, but I wanted to have an idea of something to put in the sky that a real eagle eye could look at and say "hey, that's <insert name of planet or moon>!" All I've been looking at to try and figure it out are some comic panels.
A very nice sketch. I am no artist so please excuse my next question. Is Skeletor standing on a stone walkway or is that a temporary drawing tool?
@longtooth so the idea is that it has a sort of “Tron”-like background. The grid will be black with neon lines. I just haven’t decided if I want nice clean lines, like the attached screenshot, or make them sort of craggy and uneven like it is neon concrete. My daughter surprised me when she said it looks like he’s in a video game, because that’s almost exactly the idea!
Looking good so far Heather! I really like your imagination and vision for the piece. I can't wait to see it finished.
We have the Power!

Tron like. That fusion is interesting.I understand now and thank you for the example.
This reminds me of one of those different comic covers. Different but cool.
Very nice.
