After correctly identifying several jumping tigers, I got my Hurricane Hordak.

@elder k thanks. So basically anything online retailers have in-stock right now, get 'em while you can. Or just resort to eBay like I do a lot. I would say don't pre-order anything for the time being.

It says 2nd Quarter 2025. Damn if they are making more and that is legit. Can't be.

Who thinks they'll do a Tytus and Megator to finish off the original Origins line

A lot of the original ones were shipped to Greece and Italy because the line was done by the time it came time for distribution 

@IronCross i feel like Laser Power He-Man and Lassr Light Skeletor should be the sawn song of Origins, but really I want the line to keep going and after the do all the vintage figures roll into New Adventures with the Origins: VC body style.

@IronCross you can see the date that I initially pre ordered and they still haven’t got them in stock yet (only standard grade) I’m worried they will end up cancelling them

The problem being, once prices go up, they rarely come back down... even if the tariff war ends.

This has become both a disaster for the consumer, and the perfect excuse for retailers to raise the price of their wares.

I have gotten emails from EE, BBTS, AmiAmi, HLJ, and even Super 7 apologizing for "unavoidable" price increases... SMH.

@ornclown Agreed. Besides, we've already seen price fluctuations on stock items (ethical selling, anyone?!). And don't get me started on Super7 and their "amazing concept" called "Ultimates". Gouging their customers while playing the "good buddy card" was always part of the plan. I have a sickening feeling that the new standard of spending a painful amount of money may not be limited to custom figures in the future.

Current prices being what they are people didn't need yet another reason to walk away, the best thing you can do is let stuff go to clearance where possible. If you just immediately start paying the new RRP you're a sheep to be fleeced in company terms and they'll just keep coming back with a new excuse. Look at how many outfits behaved like they were owed money after the pandemic, and not just toy companies. Some of them are still talking about it! Plus we've already had the inflation excuse for jacking up prices on stock that was already produced. 

@sketchyskeletor couldn’t have said it better. Pass the cost to the customer? Yea that’s a hard no. I’m at the point where I’m going to finish the VC and them most likely out. Luckily this is a luxury but with every other thing going up this is the one thing I can live without. Also the fact that every single toy company keeps coming out with new shit knowing damn well what’s going on and will lose a lot of customers. They deserve to go out of business which some of them will

That's how capitalism works. Granted there are better ways to deal with this but no CEO is going to take a pay cut it help ease the financial strain on the consumer.

@kraken I like that I have that fake rock that he can hold. I got the original Hurricane Hordak for Christmas one year and I took him out to my backyard and tried to get him to hold some rock, but they were all too heavy.

Also is CC Skeletor a good figure for someone getting into Cartoon Collection?

Okay so after a while I finally ordered some CC figures after having my Adam and Cringer 2-Pack in package for weeks. Wanted to obviously get Started with He-Man and Skeletor but just ordered CC Faker and CC Hordak from BBTS. Faker because he's basically and ironically improved CC He-Man 2.0 and Hordak because I love Hordy (most exposure I have to him still so far is his relationship with the cutie known as Entrapta) and Skeletor ain't in stock and not up to standard from what I've heard.

You guys think they are good CC starter figures?

I think Hordak's accessory is a bit weird. Of course I don't know the context, but a barrel he swings around? His replaceable Emperor Zurg arm cannon would've been good.

@slycooperastroboy51 Cartoon Hordak is actually a really good figure. And, a much better representation of the source material than Skeletor.

I hope that Mattel releases a CC Skeletor 2.0, because the original is just not a good toy.
