IF true this is presumably how the cartoon collection continues past the 80s. IF that's the case, I'd be more hopeful for NA then.
Why now? Because Mondo is making their 200X figures and they want to capitalize on the buzz?

I imagine they now have the tooling bank because of the crossovers and cartoon collection bucks - people forget how much can be done with overlays and the modularity they claimed was for our benefit lol.
Â
@kraken it's possible they don't want backlash from the only 200X stuff available being high end collectibles.
It's like having a Ford dealership across the street from a BMW dealership.

A closer look at the terrific packaging artwork for the Masters of the Universe: Origins "Collectors Edition" HURRICANE HORDAK action figure by artist Axel Gimenez and David de la Cal Alonso 🎨 (and courtesy of packaging designer Roy Juarez).
Incredible, as always... plus: Dragstor!! 😎Â

Agreed.
New Adventures needs some representation - stat!!!
Especially because both Stratos and Tri-Klops already have a vintage, CC, AND Mini-Comic version!!

I don't like that they skipped over NA to move right in to 200X but maybe NA will be what replaces the VC on MC.
NA always gets shafted. It most likely stems from being the "loser" series that nobody liked at the time. I'm sure it would find new appreciation with some redone figures.
Â
@chrisa i really think it would. The show is on Peacock and is not that bad, definitely worth checking out.

I've barely seen the show (like most) but really want the figures because the designs are phenomenal.Â

I would highly recommend checking out the New Adventures series... especially if you have any fondness for early 90's kitschy anime.
Back in the dark times - before access to the world-wide-web was widely available, my brother and I ordered anime (Japanime, as it was known back then) from the back of Heavy Metal Magazine. Because of that, I was introduced to Venus Wars, Fist of the North Star, Outlanders, etc., and was all over New Adventures - even though the peeps I hung out with at the time thought I was weird for liking it.
Sure, it has its faults, but I have always loved this show and the toys that came out at the time.

Oh yeah, I have the Grayskull box set that has some of the episodes included, just never got round to watching those!

@sketchyskeletor Awww man, you have no idea how nervous I get when I see NA popping up in various threads. They have been such a black sheep since the failure of both the cartoon and the toy line in the 90s. Scott Neitlich, who was in charge of the MOTUC brand back in 2008, even admitted how difficult it was to produce as many figures as they did, resulting in a large reuse of Trap Jaw legs to recoup the investment. Origins has only had He-Man for years, and he is only available in the special four-pack. As for the Masterverse, three figures (which were really well done if you ask me). So fingers crossed, because when I see how they handled the 40th anniversary of She-Ra, turning pretty exclusively to the evil horde when it comes to releasing another figure, well, you get the confidence they have for a certain number of names associated with the franchise as a whole.
@onlyoneskeletor Mattel doesn't seem to realize that we actually want NA.

If anyone has open pre-orders with EE check on the prices they sent out a tariff related email. I checked and my CC Orko and Fang-Man with up to 21.99 so I canceled Fang-Man.

I just saw that. I wondered how long it would take after a similar announcement from BBTS.

😂😂😂😂😂wut da hell I just watch? 🤣

NGL I would be invested more in the Turtles and Thundercats crossover sublines if there were certain figures of the main characters that had removable armor so basically you could make them their normal selves in perfect MOTU Origins scale. Like if you say removed the armor from Lion-O or Leonardo, they would look like their normal selves but not stick out like a sore thumb in an Origins display if you guys are getting me.Â
Â
I mean haven't they made two different figures of certain Origins Turtles if I'm correct? They can have multiple different figures of some characters so why not?Â
@chrisa Can someone clarify to me if the upcoming Tariffs for online retailers don't apply to figures from sites like EE or BBTS if the figures are currently in stock as of now?
Use BBTS a lot and as far as I know only the listings of items on pre-order inform of the potential price increase of the product.
Just bought a Transformers Studio Series Dark of the Moon Shockwave reissue from BBTS that was in stock and they charged me normally.
£30 for Hurricane Hordak and £9 shipping 🤬Â

Your tariffs do not affect what was already bought and paid for and in your country.
