@asterstar so instead of preordering from BBTS, which are still available as of now, why do people pay these dumb prices instead of waiting??? Been waiting for filmation accurate for 40 years yet they can’t Wait 2 and a half months

@brasco It's just the FOMO and the 'gotta be the first to have it now now now' mentality that people have.  I refuse to jump through hoops and stress and overpay at these specialty online stores just to have it now when I can just wait and get it later.  It's not an emergency in my world to be the first person to get these things.

Alright Teela looks good there. I've been giving the Cartoon Collection the cold shoulder. Vintage all the way. Teela might make me cave.

Exactly. What does first get you. Unless you have a youtube channel. Apparently if you are first there it doesn't matter if your camera stinks and you have a boring delivery. You will get thousands of views and hundreds of likes. We will watch anything if it's new.

It's probably the same type of person who waits in line to be the first to get a new iPhone model. It can't be easy to have that type of personality.

It also cannot be very forgiving to your bank balance!

On that note, have we heard anything from Mattel regarding those missing figures from the original vintage line-up? I remember an interview, probably Pixel Dan, in which the MOTU brand manager confirmed that they wanted to release those few missing Vintage figures through Mattel Creations. They even showed a few pre-production figures, like Stonedar, right?

But that was a few months ago and I don't think I have seen any of those figures pop up on MC yet. Am I missing anything?

That was July 2023. Here it is January 2024 and there still isn't even a whiff of them. At this rate we'll be in nursing homes by time they finish the vintage line.

I think it just kind of feels like for those who are not collecting the turtles or cartoon Origins lines that the vintage line has just kind of been thrown to the back burner in lieu of these other lines.

I really hope we can pre-order those previewed figures all at once... Shipping to the EU is stupidly expensive, would be nice to have to pay it only once.

Absolutely. I was really hoping for a Dragon Walker, Rio Blast and some other stuff from the vintage line I never owned previously... but I guess that ship has sailed.
