Not really in the market for items at this price point, but have to say he really looks very impressive. I’m glad the Mondo line exists to do things that the retail lines cannot do.
Love the bone whip ha! The chains are a nice addition, too. And those sculpted bones!
The skull may look a bit busy , with all the weathering, taking away from the excellent sculpt. Meanwhile the “vintage” head looks kinda comical, like so often with these releases. But I’m sure it looks still fantastic in person.
And that Scare Mare is absolutely crazy! Wow. I’d love one of those mini comics for sure. All this makes me want to get that SG / SM Funko Pop as little consolation price haha That one is more in my price range.

@cosmic When they released Beast Man he included a "Throwback Head". It was vintage inspired but, actually blended well with sculpt. It wasn't just an upsized reproduction. It looked great. I really wish they would have done that here.
I pre-ordered the upcoming Funko Pop. That's more in my price range. 😁
@firmpulse Yes it always takes some adapting / adjusting to make it look good. Like, reflecting the proportions of the body,… and the design style.
I can see a head design somewhere between the vintage and the new, would have been my perfect SG.
Big nope for me. Have the other 2. Dont like the horse, and Scare comes with to much nonsense that have to pay for and not use. I would only have him in fuzzy undies, cape and staff.

Might've been too complicated to hide it? I have a friend who specifically hates action figures because he can't stand all the joints so he only goes for statues instead. That being said if you're displaying this thing, I highly doubt anyone looking at it would be paying much attention to it.
On a side note I'm starting to come around on the new Scare Glow head sculpt. I know you were also going a bit back and forth on it. I might end up offloading my Classic version from Mondo. He already doesn't fit with the rest of the figures anyways.
@smokinya I saw him at SDCC and while he's really impressive I'm going to pass. I just can't get excited about it. I think if the whitish areas were more translucent whitish-green I'd be down. I've definitely fallen on the side where the head is a miss for me. Also, I def want 1/6 Lion-O after seeing him in person. He drops in August. They felt pretty strongly that he would. Then there's the Rattler...sigh. It's hard out here for a figure collector.

That's fair enough. I've definitely gotten more excited about him the longer I've sat on it. I love the cloak/robes he's got. The 1/6 Lion-O is an incredible figure as well. My wallet is very happy that I don't have much of a connection to Thunder Cats, however, once Raul starts snapping pics of the figure, I'm sure that I might be tempted anyways. Hopefully its also a timed edition and not a certain number of units like their X-Men stuff.
Once I decided I was in on Mondo I pretty much stopped any other form of collecting and have been taking a serious look at what I can get rid of in the house. MOTU is definitely my biggest passion so I figured it would be best to funnel the budget solely into the high quality MOTU product haha
@smokinya Well there ya go. If it were my biggest collecting passion I would probably be the same way. Buzz Off and Man-E-Faces sure are promising.
@firmpulse Buzz-Off looks amazing. Has a 200x/Masterverse vibe to him which I like. I don't like the goofy looking vintage figure at all. Man-E-Faces looks cool as well, but I'm not a fan of a lot of the accessories he's coming with. I don't really want/need anything other than the extra faces. His poncho is kind of cool since I'm a sucker for soft goods, but I would've rather he come with some other weapons instead of the little Filmation warrior guy.
On a side note: do we know if Mondo is holding back some Teela's due to the issues? Try to fix them before more of them get into our hands? I got my notification email that she'd be shipping soon back at the end of June and haven't heard anything since.

Even though the email did say they were shipping in waves, im leaning towards of them trying to fix issues with all the complaints

Widget fans rejoice! The Widget "Squinch" from the 1983 classic Filmation animated series "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe" will be included with Mondo's upcoming MAN-E-FACES 1:6 Scale Figure.

Just sent Mondo out an email regarding the shipping status of Teela. I'll report back once I hear back from them. Re-reading the original email I got on June 27, 2024 it stated Teela would be shipping out in waves over the next 4 weeks as long as you live in USA, Canada or the UK. With the other international figures shipping out in August. The site still states that Teela is unfulfilled and I haven't gotten a shipping email on her yet. Anyone else not received a shipping notice on her yet still?
I’m still waiting. I just hope I get a good one. They can take their time if they are fixing issues.

Alright so this is what they said: "Thanks for reaching out. Shipping throughout the rest of this month (August). We're shipping in waves and directly from the factory via DHL Express. Once shipped you will receive an email with tracking. Thanks for your patience!"
In my email I asked them if the Canadian, US and UK ones had been delayed. Obviously they never replied to that part of my message, but I'm hoping they delayed shipping to fix the issues Teela was having. It doesn't make a lot of sense to me that so many NA and UK folks haven't received the figure yet after the initial ones shipped out unless they were taking another QA stab at them. I just wish they'd come out and publicly state it if that was the case though. Hopefully the shipping notice comes through next week.

since funko bought them, they havent been open about issues as they were before. Its why people always had their backs, because they were upfront about problems and delays. Now nothing.

Yes, I've noticed that as well. At the end of the day as long as I keep getting good figures I'll be happy even if they do have to be cagier now due to new management. I assume that's also why we haven't really gotten an official answer yet on flocked Panthor. I know we recently got an update on its status, but they never really stated whether they were dropping it or not. I'm happy I made the choice to go with the unflocked version because at this rate it looks like anyone who waited won't be getting one. I wonder how they'll tackle Moss Man if they ever get to him.

Just got dhl email for shipping of Teela. Picked up August 30, with an original date to pick up on June 25.
So lets hope they were fixing the problems.
@banthafett nice, I'll check my email later today and hope I got my email too. I can't see how they weren't fixing problems due to the large delay. Makes the most amount of sense and to my knowledge there isn't any big shipping delay issues going on right now for anyone else.
