this is a type of thing that would make a nice con exclusive. All the smaller characters in a set. You know something, not everyone wants, like say Two-Bad.

Taking a closer look at this figure's headsculpt which is based on an early discarded HORDAK design, and part of the Masters of the Universe: Origins "Sketch Book Series" Evil Horde Action Figure 2 Pack, coming Spring 2025. (Mattel has yet to release this figure's official name.)

@admin I really like his look. He looks like he could be the "muscle" of Hordak's inner circle.

@smitty-81 I like it too. Everyone may not agree but I do hope this discarded Hordak concept (and discarded Grizzlor concept) become their own thing within the lore with new names and bios * the works * versus just Sketch Book Series: Hordak & Grizzlor.

@admin To me, this is exactly how Mattel should "think" when it comes to expanding the line; prioritize the old sketch characters. A few Fuerza.T candidates wouldn't be bad either.

@onlyoneskeletor Agree. It's a good way to expand it. But can we finish the vintage line first starting with Two Bad?

@kraken no, because mattel fears that some fans will just drop off once the vintage figures are finished. They want to give us a vintage figure every once in a while, and in between those give us other things so that we stay hooked. In a way, collecting is a lot like an addiction and Mattel knows it.

@smitty-81 It blows that Mattel got us hooked and they are exploiting that. I know Mattel is waiting to complete the vintage line at the end of the Origins line. Just watch Origins go belly up because they tried one too many crossovers and Mattel loses major money on MOTU meets Ghostbusters or something stupid like that and executives pull the plug on Origins. Then Mattel tells us we would love to finish the vintage line but sales was no longer there for Origins. I can see that happening.

@kraken I can't. Turtles of Grayskull is doing very well and people seem excited about the upcoming Thundercats crossover. Rules of the Sun was met with a mixed reaction but that's over. The Stranger Things set seemed to do fine but those were just the two sets. I'm not sure what other properties would work well with MOTU, Transformers could be fun, but I don't see that being more than one or two figure. DC has worked in the past.

@smitty-81 Stranger Things looks like a bust to me. All the Target stores I go to can't seem to move the Skeletor pack and Target.com was selling them half off a couple of days ago.

@kraken they seem to over order quite a bit on certain things. Like 10 Skelly Stranger Things sets but only 2 Collectors. Granted some are dogs like the CC Evil Lyn and TOG April

@brasco what do you mean by "dogs" because I wouldn't call CC Evil-Lyn or ToG April dogs.

@smitty-81 during my last Walmart visit they had 8 Evil Lyn’s and 4 April’s. I think they’re both great figures

@brasco they are both "end of the year" figures the store may have ordered more than they do throughout the year trying to prep for the holidays.
