Taking a closer look at the head sculpt for the upcoming Masters of the Universe: Origins VYPOR figure.

@he-dad Yes Simon Eckert was well plugged in with the fan community in Germany even before he got to do official Mattel stuff. I’m sure he enjoyed doing this side project.
I also like the back, even though there isn’t a big illo– just all the cross sell art and instructions, it gives me a lot of vintage vibes.
There are always some interesting fan projects going on over there, but it usually doesn’t involve figures. They produced some items based on the popular audio plays.
Castle Hellskull from Anti Eternia? That is crazy cool! Was that actually produced to buy?

One thing that's a minor fail of the CC line is that they're using the regular Origins boots with added detail, rather than more cartoon accurate simplified ones. I mean, they went through the expense of tooling up an entirely new buck (which they probably didn't even need to do), so it's a rather puzzling decision.
@durendal the CC boots are slightly taller than the VC boots.

So is this Stranger Things Skeletor going to be like the second Sun Man three pack...literally NEVER available on the Target website...
Because people are already finding it in store.
I braved the hipsters today and went to 3 targets today. No Motu/ST sets, no shelf tags.
@banthafett did you check toys and/or the collector section in or near electronics? The TMNT x Stranger Things figures were always in the collector section.

@depp76 most of my targets still have the ROS 3 pack at full price mind you…

I always go to both sections. 1 store only had funko stuff, all pegs and shelves were empty in the collector section.

It is aggravating. The item is in-store only, but the site does not allow you to see if it is in-stock at a store near you. And the UPC and DCPI numbers turn up no results on inventory sites. None of the MotU stuff has turned up near me.

I have to say, this is probably the best set they've released in Origins. This is a pairing fans have wanted to see forever... and the presentation came together perfectly.
