Hot on the heels of yesterday’s announcement that actor Nicholas Galitzine will be playing Adam and He-Man in the upcoming Amazon MGM and Mattel Films “Masters of the Universe” live-action movie, Nicholas took to Instagram to share his reaction and how he cannot wait to get started. Here is what Nicholas Galitzine had to say:
"By the Power of Greyskull, I HAVE THE POWER! I’m so beyond proud to announce that I will be playing Adam, Prince of Eternia in ‘Masters of the Universe’. It has been a dream for so long to play someone of his heart, humour and heroism, I cannot wait to get started."
-Nicholas Galitzine on Instagram
Of course, the 29 year old London born actor will have to quickly submerse himself into Eternian research and learn names like “Greyskull” is actually spelled with an “A” (a common mistake among people from the UK) but he certainly seems enthusiastic to play the iconic role!
For fun we decided to see what Nicholas Galitzine might look like (who has sported a blonde hair look before) with the classic Filmation Prince Adam/He-Man pageboy haircut:
Now we wait and see if our report that actor Sacha Baron Cohen, rumored to be playing Skeletor (reported last week HERE), will be revealed as true.
We really do believe this “Masters of the Universe” movie will be different than previous incarnations… as in this movie will actually be made, based on new factors like the success of the “Barbie” movie and Mattel having more control thanks to their newly created film production division “Mattel Films” (something we go into at length in the latter half of the latest “For Eternia LATE NIGHT” Podcast, found HERE).
So who will play Teela? Who will be playing Man-at-Arms? Stay tuned to For Eternia to find out!
“Masters of the Universe” will be released in theaters worldwide on June 5th, 2026.
We’ll see you next time!
The dude doesn’t look too bad as a blonde.
Don’t hate me but I like the hair. Can you imagine if they give him that haircut? He can totally pull it off. I also like that he’s proud. That shows he has respect for the character.
According to IMDB, Abi Beaux has been cast as She-Ra?
Hmmm, decent casting if that rumour is true. I don’t know anything about her, but she’s definitely pretty enough. It’s not much of a stretch to picture her in the She-Ra costume. I would however like to see her get ripped for the role.
I’m more shocked that She-Ra isn’t getting race swapped or anything! 🤣 I guess they’ll save that for some other characters.
Is that real? 🙀
FAKE WANNABE. She listed herself to get some attention. Bet on it.
I wouldn’t be surprised if a lot of obscure, unknown actors like herself resort to tactics like that to try to get themselves trending to potentially enable a career boost. I know I would!
Also if it was real and someone else updated the MOTU page and added to her name to the credits she would have been notified cuz she has an account on imdb. She posted a weird demo reel filmed in her car on imdb. So if her getting the She-Ra role was true she would remove it immediately. She would know Mattel would want to reveal it themselves when they were ready.
That’s wacky! She looks the part but her credits are so thin! She got acting projects in the works but her current stuff looks like a couple roles like walk on or extra work.
@admin what do you think bro?
@he-dad I’m on the fence with it. 🙂
@admin
😆
I looked up Abi Beaux and she has 2 acting credits. She was in Promising Young Woman where she played a uncredited Bridesmaid. Then she was in Kinds of Kindness where she played Beaux a character named the same as her last name. What are the chances of that? Maybe she named it. I can’t find her in the trailer.
Update: Her listing has-been removed.

That is a good She-Ra casting. The Prince Adam casting not so good imho, although my wife knew the actor right away and couldn’t stop talking about how good looking and popular he is. I just can’t believe no director wants to look for a bodybuilder. There are thousands, and guys that can act. There is no way that an actor that doesn’t already looks like Hemsworth, Cavill or Ritchson can get into He-Man shape in the time there is to start filming. Because even those buff actors are in no way close to He-Man shape. Those action figures are the archetype of a super heavyweight Mr. Olympia. Unless they want to have separate actors for Adam and He-Man which to me sucks. Well, at least the guy is attracting the female audience. 😛
That’s the whole point of the studios casting guys like Centineo, Allen, and now this guy – they’re desperate to get chick’s bums into theatre seats who’d otherwise never in a million years consider going to see something geeky like a He-Man movie without a hot young stud as the lead. It kind of sucks for us die hard fans of MOTU, but that’s the regrettable reality we’re saddled with.
I mean, Dolph was hot too, but he also brought a good level of masculinity and grit to the role that I can’t see with these delicate looking pretty boys they keep casting. These guys look more fitting for something lame like a live action version of Disney’s Frozen… 🤣
Definitely! 🤣
hee hee nice photoshop job @admin 😜
i can’t wait till we see nicolas in his full costume !
i’ve recently started chewing my way through some of his previous screen work and he’s actually played about three different princes before (well, 2 princes and a duke technically lol) george the first in the recently released miniseries “mary and george" and two fictional princes in “the red, white and royal blue" and amazon’s hot mess cinderella movie w camila cabello in 2021.
so i would say he has the regal chops necessary for prince adam, even if adam’s never been one to take his monarchy duties too seriously lol
i wonder how he will fare as he-man in the film’s more action-oriented scenes
It is interesting to note that often when he played royalty he played gay characters and now he will again be a Prince considered by some as a gay icon.
I got creative and not in a good way! 😄
I mean, getting young and fesh (… and thus meaning actually very dirt cheap) actors is all the current rage; so this and that she probably nails the look with costume and prep time speaks for her.
That they would even announce a She-Ra character in the movie makes it highly unlikely thogh IMO. Bringing the twins rightfully together in one universe where they belong is hard since licence law sees them as separate because someone or several fu’ed it up in the past. 2nd: The likely would keep her as a surprise till the last minute.
Unless the movie is kind of a reverse Secret of the Sword with Adam fumbling around on Earth and a She-Ra that never got kidnapped and currently fills in as Eternias protector gets the Job to find him and bring him home cause Skeletor summoned the Horde and everthing goes out of hand and more help is needed.
Movie ends with Adam being the new Eternia protector and She-Ra following the fleeing Horde to Etheria and does her thing there. But since gfx are expensive 90% of the movie (aside from the credits run) would be a earth collage rom/com movie though with Adam getting into trouble with his current girlfriend (Evil-Lyn; send incognito by Skeletor) because hes freaking out ’cause he thinks that one hot girl is stalking him (and freaks even more when he find out shes his sister).
… eh… sry, imaginantion running a bit wild. 😛
Now she can say she was She-Ra for a day.
@caliban
Beats “Bridesmaid (uncredited)"; if not in paycheck at least in name recognition.
🤣
I think the dude can pull it off. There’s something striking about his features that I can see working well as Prince Adam. And since He-Man has the same exact face as Adam, just more tan… that works 😜
It really depends what kind of film it is, but I’m not surprised if they would be leaning into some Filmation inspiration– it is by far the most well known. It also differentiates him from Conan or Hercules etc
As someone whose favorite MOTU iteration are the Alcala comics, I would love a down-and-gritty barbarian version, but I’m ok with this direction. This new MOTU does not have to by MY ultimate MOTU. Just a fun new version adding to the many that already exist.
And CGI can do a lot, we don’t know that this will be necessarily a milktoast version.
Look, guys (and gals), we’ve been down this route many times before and we’ve all heard the same story ad nauseam — “Director announced!", “Writer announced!", “Start date announced!", “Studio announced!", “Actor announced!".
I don’t mean to be a Dougie Downer, but how many years — decades — have we been hearing this for? I’m tired of getting my heart broken and seeing fans get all excited only to have their hopes dashed yet again. Far better, IMO, for the powers to be to just zip it until they’ve wrapped production and have a distribution deal. I’ll believe it when I’m sitting in my seat in the theater. Until then it’s all just a circle jerk. And, btw, if it ever does happen, that voice you’ll hear in the theater the cheering loudest will be this MOTU fan who’s grown old waiting…and waiting…and waiting. 🙁
@theman Some believe billion dollar Barbie and Mattel copying the Marvel way will make the difference.
@kraken
I hope so. But remember, Barbie’s never had a gap or a lag. Just sayin’…
I am so excited for this!
