This past January, we reported on the Art Book by Dark Horse Publishing for the Netflix television series “He-Man and the Masters of the Universe” surprisingly dropping a ton of spoilers for potential new content. It actually felt like a summary for an entire Season 4 pitch to Netflix, which (if greenlit) would follow-up the initial 26 episodes (3 seasons worth) that was initially given the greenlight several years ago.
The spoiler content published in the book was so robust, it actually felt like the series might have been cancelled already just based on this reveal alone. (Imagine Kevin Smith spoiling all this info about “Masters of the Universe: Revolution”. It’s not going to happen.)
Still, even though this was published public information, we decided to hold back a little with reporting on all the spoilers, just in case there was a new season being worked on. But now that those cancelation concerns were reinforced by the potential bad news reported HERE and HERE, it unfortunately leans us towards being a good chance that this series was not renewed by Netflix and we can spoil away.
So the next chapter of this new interpretation of He-Man would show us Hordak conquering Etetnia, who is protrayed as a cosmic vampire that feeds on the terror of all living things!
But Adam, Duncan, Teela, and Cringer manage to escape Hordak’s clutches, all the way to planet Earth and disguise themselves as Earthlings. They are on a mission to save Eternia and they are surprisingly accompanied by Keldor.
Their mission is to find the one person who holds the secret to stopping Hordak: Adam’s mother Marlena.
We’ll learn that Hordak has an Evil Horde, archetypes of terrror, each one of them representing a primal fear. They are Mantenna, Wrap Trap, Grizzlor, Modulok and Leech.
Apparently these creatures of the Evil Horde are also known by many other names across the universe, and are already known by Earthlings as classic monsters like the vampire (Hordak), the bug-eyed alien (Mantenna), the mummy (Wrap Trap), the werewolf (Grizzlor), the Frankenstein monster (Modulok), and the creature from the swamp (Leech). But soon Earth will know what they really are!
Stopping Adam, Keldor and team is a priority of Hordak of course and we’re guessing the Evil Horde can’t get the job done alone. So Hordak sends his chief enforcer, the mysterious Despara, after the heroes. (Could it be She-Ra in that gear? Because of rights issues, we’re betting it is Hordak’s daughter Evil-Lyn.)
Now while the heroes are trying to save Eternia on Earth, back on Eternia, Krass and Ork-O assemble a new team of Masters of the Universe to fight back the Horde occupation!
This team consists of Sy-Klone… (seen below in base mode and Master form).
Stonedar… (who’s base form is an inanimate boulder with a heart of gold.)
…and Tuvar and Baddrah merged as Two-Bad!
There will be arguments within Tuvar and Baddrah if they should join Hordak and the Evil Horde or not. And those power axes of theirs will combine into the ultimate obsidian master strike weapon!
Along the way they will seek out the aid of both Zodac (not pictured) and Moss Man.
But look out! The terrifiying Unamed One, a rouge Trollan bounty hunter, will be on the trail of Ork-O. And he’s armed with a wild. potion pistol spell shooter!
So will our heroes live to save the day? (Of course they will!) And that’s it.
Will Mattel officially announce the fate of the “He-Man and the Masters of the Universe” children’s show? We certainly hope so. If the series is indeed not renewed for any more episodes like one of the show’s writers initially said, with toy manufacturing being so backlogged, it wouldn’t be surprising if Mattel is waiting to comment so retailers and consumers still have product for what’s considered to be an active series & toy line. I guess we’ll see.
And be sure to pick up Dark Horse’s “The Art of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe” hardcover in book stores everywhere, which contains over 200 pages of behind-the-scenes goodies.
We’ll see you next time!

I wish we could have seen them meet Julie and Kevin!
@admin Unless they go back in time to the 1980s they would be much older now.
Or they appear, but reimagined as modern day kids 😱.
Is it just me, or does this specific version of Skeletor strike you as the type of guy who’d be really, really interested in the concept of social media?
I think you’re on to something! 👏
Skeletor will give Eternia TikTok 🤣
You are right AJ. Kevin Smith would not spoil Revolution this way. This is a sign that the show will not return. This still makes me upset. The more I learn the more I really like.
Yep. I feel ya!
