@smitty-81 Maybe we will get a Slime Pit when Mattel is done with CC and TOG. Vintage Two Bad reminds me not to hold my breath.
@kraken they did say VC Two-Bad was tooled, so he basically ready to go. They don't spend upto $80,000 and not use it.

I honestly do not understand why in the world they are dragging this out as much as they do. Other companies are well capable of releasing entire waves in one go. Yet Mattel trickles out the VC one figure a quarter (and I am being a bit generous here, since not all they have released qualifies as VC either - like Demo-man).
@lasastard other companies have stronger brands or different business models. Mattel isn't doing anything unusual with Origins: VC. One online exclusive every other month and new characters to extend the life of the line and add to the lore is pretty typical for action figure lines.

There are are likely lots of reasons Mattel isn't just putting out all the vintage figs back to back that combine for this situation. I'm sure a lot if not all of it is related to the desire to make money but also from that fact that MOTU is popular but not THAT popular. So keeping the line going and profitable for Mattel is likely a bit of a balancing act.
A lot of it we can't know without inside knowledge of how they budget for each figure \ the line overall but the tooling budget for some of the more complex figures is likely spread out across the whole line. They are also doing refreshes \ going with what is working and selling (TMNT mashup) and I guess they have very little confidence that those remaining figs would sell at a level to justify their tooling on their own.
As a fan \ consumer you don't have to care about any of that but you can't control it either.
I got into this primarily for the Vintage collection and the TMNT stuff really bit into me as it combines two important character sets \ franchises. My collecting has grown with origins \ and into other things. If Mattel doesn't finish the vintage line I would be extremely disappointed but it's hard for me to see a world where they don't finish the vintage AND we still continue getting figures. If they don't finish the vintage it's because the whole thing goes away.
They're also starting to get a bit fudgy with some stuff. Modulok is advertised as CC but looks to be the standard origins vintage update. Not sure how many other figs they can blur between CC and Vintage though.

I think any character that originated on the show, like Kol-Darr, could blur that line. As for why Modulok is described as CC is probably a way of giving their retail partner(s) the "newest" style while also giving fans what they want.

A closer look at the headsculpt of one of the currently officially unnamed Evil Horde (originally a Grizzlor discarded concept) from the upcoming Masters of the Universe: Origins "Sketch Book Series" Evil Horde Action Figure 2 Pack, coming Spring 2025.

I'll happily admit that I am not the biggest fan of the more recent addition to the MOTU line that Mattel has cooked up in some basement (Snakemen anyone...). But that figure looks amazing; fits right into the Horde roster, I reckon.

I'll be honest. I don't know jack shit about Snout Spout but it feels like he comes from the same planet.
@kraken I always assumed Snout Spout was a fire fighter cyborg who really liked elephants.

Snout Spout has been all things from an alien to a sports jock. My favorite is he came from a race of people called the Hosers.
Princess Rana and Prince Dakon are on Geldor's art - let's hope that we FINALLY get them as figures. 40 years to wait is ridiculous.
@durendal Man, still super bummed we never got those two in Classics ... here's hoping you hardcore Origins collectors get 'em and aren't left wanting too!
WANTED IN MASTERVERSE:
Masks of Power Demons, Prince Dakon, Kobolds, Demons (The Terror of Tri-Klops!), Lodar, New Eternia Ninjor, New Eternia Dragon Blaster Skeletor, Lizorr, Hoove, '87 Movie Man-At-Arms, '87 Movie Skeletor Trooper.
@abaddon I wanted them both badly in Classics, and despite that line's unmatched character depth, this is yet another example of an obvious hole in the collection that makes it feel incomplete. I really hope Origins makes up for it by finally releasing them. Mattel's been blue balling the fans for 40 years and counting. Enough.
A closer look at the headsculpt for the Masters of the Universe: Origins "Cartoon Collection" FROSTA figure expected out by this Spring 2025.❄️

@admin Did she get into the ice wine? I'm not feeling that overly round, bloated face - it doesn't reflect how she looked in the show. Send it back and start over.
