  1. I appreciate your optimism, AJ. It would just be nice if they swung for the fences.

I published a piece that hopefully encourages the idea of world building either a Lord of the Rings trilogy, or even a Game of Thrones series, if they’re aligning with Amazon.

People just want fantasy to go all in.

  2. Thank you for positive take on the news! You give a best-case scenario of the plot; I’m hoping for the best until I’m proven otherwise. I just really hope the movie is well received and boosts the fandom and overall popularity of MOTU. That means more series, comics, and toys for us too.

I also wanted to say that your interviews with creators on previous episodes of the podcast inspired me to get back into making art for the first time in a long time. I’ve been taking art classes, drawing fantasy art, and designing characters for my daughter’s D&D group. It’s something I’ve been thinking about for awhile, but your interviews with people in the industry who truly love what they do has made me realize there is no time to waste if I want to enjoy a little bit of satisfaction in my own creations in this lifetime. It was the little extra push I needed, and I’m extremely grateful for the podcast, which is always a treat to listen to!

Wow. I am so, so, so very happy the podcast did that for you. Honored actually, deeply. I really don’t know what to say, other than thanks for saying that. This community is so amazing, and welcoming and they touch me in so many positive ways. The truth is I never felt I could measure up and do the same for others. Maybe it is a lower sense of self worth. Maybe it’s something else. Just know I appreciate hearing that and so glad you are jumping back into your creativity. I have a lot regrets regarding what I was able to actually accomplish creativity versus what I thought I was capable of, so I am absolutely thrilled about your pursuits. Hopefully you’ll feel emboldened to share some of your work with us one day too. Thanks Heather. ā¤ļøĀ

    1. Great video there AJ. I admire your discipline in your wait and see approach.Ā

Appreciate it! Sometimes I am not sure if I am disciplined, optimistic or just plain naive, but if you want to go with disciplined, let’s go with that! šŸ˜€

Is this like the new Roast Gooble? šŸ¤£Ā

Roast Gooble Dinner with spirits. Part Roast Gooble. Part alcohol advertisement.Ā

      That is fair. šŸ˜„

This is one of the reasons why I love this fandom so much. Nice work! I appreciate your dedication and skill. Thanks for sharing that! šŸ™‚

I saw in your postscript you mentioned the story the producers want to tell is ā€œJohn Hughes meets He-Man" in quotes. Is that an actual quote from someone involved in the production or is that just an assessment of what you believe Mattel Films wants to strive for in tone based on the synopsis?Ā

Thank u for the shout out AJ šŸ¤—Ā

And thank YOU for sharing the great idea! Like a knucklehead, I often will not recall who came up with a cool idea first, but when I do, this knucklehead makes sure to give them credit. šŸ˜
