Pretty excited about this. I prefer these over their 7” ultimates. Also cheaper for me to plug any holes in my vintage collection. Anyone else on board with these?
I picked them all up.
The only thing stopping me is the articulation and is Mattel going to make these but better on an origins buck.
Mattel is only making Masters of the Universe/ThunderCats mash-up figures.
@durendal 80’s articulation sucked so no. But seriously doesn’t bother me one bit
Biggest waste of time and money. Funko already did 5.5 Thundercats and Mattel is about to do them in Origins. And yeah they'll be MOTU crossovers but I don't think that will change them that much, or the MOUT stuff will be removable and like with Turtles of Grayskull you'll be able to make Thundercats that look more of less normal.

Well, I would be suprised - and I mean very surprised - if these turn out well. I have most of their neo-vintage MOTU figures on the shelf and basically all of these cannot move their limbs due to stuck and very brittle joints. Not to mention the absurd sheen of the cheap plastic they used. The contrast to Mattel Origins is really striking.
So I'll be waiting to see what Mattel comes up with. 30bucks a figure from Super7 - nope.
@lasastard That is where I am man. I want some Thundercats on my shelf but my cash is limited and these don't feel worth it. Maybe I could look past the obvious issues at $20 per but $30 per is a big ask.
i mean....i can see myself buying lion-o to keep MOC on display in my Thundercats collection but i can't really see myself picking up any others.
for me personally, the problem is that these are not really "vintage" at all exactly. i have a couple of LJN Thundercats already and these are not the same color, scale, not even the cards and bubble look the original LJN figures. this is it's own thing, not the "Thundercats Origins" we've all been waiting/hoping for. these remind me so much more of those "savage world" Thundercats that funko put out a couple years back then they do the LJN classic line.
Looks like Mattel just took the wind out of the sails (and sales!) of this line

I do not think that is the goal. I think these are to make ThunderCats in the style of the vintage Masters of the Universe figures. Not necessarily to do an Origins take on ThunderCats.
After seeing the images of Mattel's version of the ThunderCats, the new 'vintage' TCats from Super 7 actually have a closer aesthetic to Origins than the crossover figures...
I think a lot of folks were expecting the ThunderCats to have that Origins build, and Mattel has decided to go in a different direction - actually making them closer to the cartoon / Bandai look.
These Super 7 figures look nice, but $30 is too steep for me... especially because I have the entire Funko waves 1 & 2.

@ornclown If only they had decent articulation, but they're essentially oversized ReAction figures. Sigh...

I have all of the Funko ThunderCats too, but they look like knock-offs compared to the Super7 ones.
