Super Mario Bros was probably my favorite and one of only a handful I saw in the theaters.

Exorcist: True Believer was probably my least favorite.   I watched it on Peacock. It seemed to struggle with getting even the exorcism part right.  I also watch Steve Urkel Saves Santa and didn't really care for it.  I liked Family Matters back in the day and had a rental credit I needed to use on VUDU.  You can tell it was made recently with a bit too much modern day commentary thrown in that was unnecessary.  It also has nothing to do with saving Santa.

I believe my favorite movie I saw in the theater was "Godzilla Minus One". My favorite streaming movie was "To Leslie" with "Talk To Me" being a close second.

The worst film I sat through has to be "Pet Sematary: Bloodlines". Actually I couldn't get through the entire film I found it to be that bad. 😕

Like Shin Godzilla it is another mature more adult standalone Godzilla movie. It is not connected to any of the Godzilla movies made in the U.S. and the best way I can describe it is they wrote a compelling movie.... and then added Godzilla to it. A strong recommend! 🙂

@mcstinkor Oppenheimer was your least favorite? It is probably going to win Best Picture. That is a surprising choice.

Oppenhiemer just seemed to be lacking to me in various areas. It just failed to resonate with me emotionally.

PAW Patrol however, THAT is cinema THAT is pure emotion. I was at the very edge of my seat holding for dear life.

It's a crime PAW Patrol never got an IMAX release.

@admin oh i see, so it's like dc, where adjacent to the synderverse/dceu movies, warner bros. ALSO released joker and the batman, two standalone, more mature movies that were outside of the synderverse continuity.

well if it's good enough for you aj, then that's me sold ! 😄 i'll try to see it at the theater this weekend. i'll also have to seek out shin godzilla on streaming. thanks again !

@ninadust oppenheimer is an amazing movie, i'm sure but honestly it wasn't for me. i saw it on a movie date with a really nice guy and wound up falling asleep in the theater half-way through (he still hasn't called me back ! 😭 🤣 )

on the other hand, barbie has to be the most fun i've ever had seeing a movie. i saw it opening night with my sisters and a few friends. the lobby was decorated with pink and white balloons, the staff were rocking pink polos, my theater also had the neon barbie sign along with the life-size doll box where you could take photos (your girl was a MENACE in there ! lol) after the packed screening, everyone who saw the movie came out of it greeting each other as either "barbie" or "ken". you know, like that scene in the movie where all of the barbies and kens wave to each other at the beach, it was just like that IRL and it was wholesome AF! 😩

so, in conclusion....

girl nights >>> date nights

If you love Morbious (stunning, just stunning) you'll go crazy for PAW Patrol The Mighty Movie!

Don't stream it though, try get your hands on like a 4K UHD disc and play it on a home cinema surround system.

Also to truly experience it, 85" 4K screen minimum.

Might need to book a few days of work after viewing to take the whole movie experience in but it's totaly worth it.

I agree adora lovely! Barbie was wonderful! Also I totally can see Oppenheimer not being for everybody. Really if you watch the trailer you kind of know what you are going to get. There are a lot of worse movies out there to me so I was just curious but curiosity killed the cat!

After you watch Godzilla Minus One I created a thread to discuss it.

There is a lot of pressure on me now! 😄 I hope it delivers for you! (Be forewarned while Shin Godzilla has a terrific English dub, Godzilla Minus One is currently only in subtitles. Also, while it was released in color, there is now a black and white version out there too.)
