Does anyone here still buy Motu for the primary purpose of playing with their figures? What kind of stories do you tell? Any cool moments?

@griff It probably doesn't. 😆

@tawzoo I WISH! Board games. Video games. Sports. It all is still fun to me as an adult like it was when I was a kid except playing with action figures. <sad emoji

Great 😂. Guess I'll have to spend more time with my figures. I'm sure my wife won't mind, lol.

I do, well, with my son. They are all up in his room and we play with them a little before bed each night. He’s pretty little yet, so it’s honestly mostly me playing and him interacting with me. But what great fun it is, I love it!

Friends...

I play with my figures as if I were a eight year old boy! Guessing that something in my brain didn't get the upgrade because I never stopped. Would love to post some of the pictures I do with a lot of what I have in a story form. Just not sure if pictures are welcomed here or if that would drain memory space.

Kinda actually, yes 🤭

I move them around and make them talk, fight etc. but I don't really have anybody to play with. I don't have any kids of my own and no neices or nephews either, plus all my brothers and sisters have grown up.

In college, I had once managed to successfully convince a then boyfriend of mine to play MOTU origins with me......

but I could tell he wasn't super into it. Oh well 😅

@mike Awww 🥹 That's srsly adorable!

As the proud daughter of a nerd dad who played dolls with my siblings and me, I can tell you doing that makes you a lovely father. I know your gorgeous little guy is lucky to have you.

Awwwww... This breaks my heart! I had three kids but all are grown now. Since I have SOOO many toys my kids grew up having a blast playing with their dad. I had the brain of creating stories for my kids. I would create a similar type of game play as video games where they had to level up their figure to become powerful enough to over come the bad guys of the realm. We were doing a lot of that still, even into our adult lives up until they chose to start having kids of their own. And I feel honored when they say they look forward to my grandkids having the same experience with the toys as they did.

If you want Adora... I'll play Masterverse figures with you :p I'm not really into the origion figures so I don't have many of them. I think I just have a He-Man and Skeletor but thats about it. Maybe someone else but those are the only two that come to mind. You probably already have seen the silly side of me on these forums already goofing off and playing around here. I still think it would be fun to find some way of telling some of the stories through taking pictures but I think we need to ask the great moderators here how much the server can handle as I am not sure they want their forums exploading with pictures. I'd love to get into doing videos like you. Have a really neat setup to do some filming but can't overcome my anxiety issues. I think that could be a fun way of playing with our figures. I'm sure I could come up with something that might be fun for everyone while we wait for more realm events... Just might be fun to talk about the story and put our heads together and make a fun video. Just my rambling mind talking.

@bricrue I think I totally dig that idea, Virgil!

Taking pictures of our MOTU/POP figures and like "virtually" playing with other users here through this forum is honestly just a really novel and cool concept.

I mean, we do already post memes and gifs as reactions all the time here, it's quite similar to doing that but with toys! 😄 it could be it's own little section of the forums, with different threads for the different stories we create.

I do love your idea but even if we can't do it, maybe something as simple as an "Role-playing/RP" section would ALSO be a cool way for us to express ourselves/share our stories here. I used to do some of that in HS.

We could all come up with our own OCs, draw fanart for them and have adventures through texts, sorta like playing out an interactive fanfic in real time. lol

Also, I hope you know just how kindhearted you are for playing toys with your lucky kiddos. My dad played dolls with us and those are truly some of my fondest memories. 💕

I really learned so much about characters/ storytelling, using my imagination and self-expression through playtime with my dad and siblings. He even played his old Mego Star Trek dolls with us from his own boyhood (as a result, now we're BOTH crazy Trekkies lol)

It's wonderful how toys, nerd-dom, nostalgia can bring people together. Hey, it's why we are ALL here, right? 😂

@adoralovely I'll try and find my camera and do some test shots. I tried once but I think AJ felt they were too blurry. They were of course as I was just goofing off with my out of date phone. I just don't really talk to people much these days other then through text and don't need a fancy phone to do that. I have a really nice camera somewhere, just need to find it and then I can even take some pictures of the things I do have.

I also invested in a couple 3d printers which makes creating those pictures with a bit of detail. Just nice to think, "Dang I need a few chairs and a table", to which I just print what I need, paint and then the rest looks nice.

I'm adding on a picture to just kind of show some of what I did in the past. Just some little old man who has a unique visit from someone special.
