Since everyone has been talking about what kind of fan-made video game ideas or some might be trying to implement them, has anyone thought about doing a TCG on the Masters of the Universe franchise, like Magic or Yu-Gi-Oh, or something? I've tried to do something with it using Magic's system, dealing with the multiverse, but the further I got into the project, the more I thought this would be a very bad idea, and it just didn't work. The versions I used were:
Â
- The Original Filmation Series for both He-Man and She-Ra
- The 2002 He-Man Reboot
- She-Ra and the Princesses of Power
- Masters of the Universe: Revelation
- CGI He-Man RebootÂ
Would I have added more, most likely. But again, using MTG's system, at least at the time, wasn't the best go. Anyone got any thoughts on this, or if making a TCG is even viable with Masters?Â
That sounds like it could be cool. There is so much gorgeous IP art owned by Mattel that new artists wouldn't even have to be hired (if they ever decided to give it a go officially). It would definitely be more challenging than my Masters of the Universe UNO deck, that's for sure! 😄

@skeledog Eh, they were more invidual Fan Cards I made based on many different versions of He-Man and She-Ra using Magic the Gathering's system. I never did make full fledged decks. Most of the cards I made were based on Revelation since it was the thing at the time.
Edit: They were also prototypes.Â
@deltavax I would like to see it bro!

@he-dad Your wish is my command, my apologies if some of these aren't finished, or are simply too OP. He-Man in some regards can get more extreme with the power levels than MTG
That's all I have. Sorry, I thought I had more than that, especially with the 2 She-Ra shows. Apparently, I never got very far with that.Â
The legendary creature known as He-Man! 😀
These are cool! If you ever finish them and put together a downloadable rule set, I'd be happy to put out an article on it letting people know. Nicely done!Â

@admin That would be great. As I said, this was a small passion project that I didn't feel worked, at least in the ways of Magic. If anyone is interested in working on it, bringing their own ideas, better balancing it, and possibly playable, I would be more than happy to revive the project. If this went anywhere and someone wanted to make it an online game or app, I do not have any real expertise on how that works. I don't have any professional training in video game design and programming, just old, outdated middle school classes I've almost all but forgotten, XD.
This looks really interesting! I had a TCG concept game i was toying with a couple years ago, i might try to adapt the the style into something more MOTU sequel and see what happens
Not usually into card games, but this does sound interesting.

@costume-n00b Thanks, it was just an idea that popped in my head and I wanted to play with it to see where it would go.
I cant make sense of magic so this game will need simple rules 🤣
@skeledog Agreed. Magic's rules can get awful complicated really quickly, not to mention change every three to six months.
