Thoughts:

• We're back down to six pages
• This seems more like a set-up for a story rather than an actual story
• The art is bad
• There are a lot of rock people (Geolons) that I don't think we'll see figures of
• There's a lot of lore for the Geolons that could easily be spun off into it's own line

This one is so bad it actually bums me out quite a bit. What is going on with their faces? Is this an example of Mattel using AI to create their mini-comics now? Why is it even called Spear Of Eternity?! The one thing I do like is the appearance of vintage toy Crystal Castle (pretty random, if you ask me... they're referencing Filmation PoP and yet not using the Filmation PoP version of the castle, but whatever- I love the classic toy so it's nice to see it regardless). And I do like the colors... but the action is head-scratching, the volcano being looks like a turd, He-Man and Man-At-Arms never show up in it again. Much like Skelegod turning up in the Eternia mini-comic, it's head-scratchingly WTF and hopefully not the vibe they're going with going forward.

PERILOUS POWER - that comes with Stratos and Mer-Man in the Cartoon Collection is the next mini comic!

Here's a review of the figures that comes with a decent look at the comic.

Do we know if the upcoming Wal-Mart exclusives will have mini-comics?  What about Skeletor Stranger Things?

@andy_wan_kenobi I have a feeling that Necrocoda is going to be released later on this year, possibly with Plasmar as his wave mate, leaving Strobo as the only member of the lost wave unmade.

Cartoon Collection Wave 4

Thoughts:

• I think the prose exposition dump helps this story get to the action quicker
• It's really strange that they have a staff that could blow up the whole planet if the one holding it is too much of and @$$ hole
• Extendar make a cameo at the end suggesting that Mattel wants us to mix the FF, CC and VC

The art here looks more on par with what we'd been getting in the past waves vs. the two other recent ones that were, I guess, essentially Mattel Creations exclusives (the Eternia and Rokkon comics). Do we know if there are different teams handling Cartoon Collection, whatever Mattel releases down the road for Origins on Mattel Creations, and the Turtles Of Grayskull comics?

@zodac the VeeFriends mini comic also had that art style. Mattel is taking questions on their Instagram so maybe ask through that.
