@sci-fitsunami modern toy collecting can be annoying yes but some people actually get an adrenaline rush hunting down figures. Everyone is different. As for FOMO, it has gotten worse mainly from scalpers and a few of the exclusives. I mean they’re putting out so much there is something to satisfy everyone. I know I don’t only speak for myself but everything MOTU needs to continue for as long as possible.  I don’t want to wait another 15 years for another line.

@depp76 I feel like that'll spoil their video?

@depp76 Isn't that old news? I thought I heard He-Ro and Eldor were coming before.
@kraken no that I'm aware of. There's been a lot of speculation about Powers of Grayskull characters coming to the line. He-Ro has als9 been a lot of art lately and his upper body is one of the parts we need to make Plasmar.Â
Rio Blast who's arms are needed for Plasmar has been popping up a lot too.

2 things:
1. I just posted this over on Toy Habits:
January = NOTHING!
February = ROKKON
March = SY-KLONE
April = NOTHING!
8 months left in 2024. So I'm just wondering how many more months they plan on totally skipping?
Â
2. They just dropped the new Transformers:One trailer. Everybody has the same exact complaint that I have about the Filmation MOTU cartoon. It's not mature enough. It's too goofy/babyish. It's on the same level as Sesame Street/Romper Room/Teletubbies. It's NOT what we wanted! We all wanted a full-length movie that looks exactly like the first few minutes of the Bumblebee movie. Back in the 80s I wanted a MOTU cartoon that looked like the original toy box art & stuck to the original story. They knew that's what we wanted but they went in a completely different direction anyway. For the past few days I have been posting the exact same thing here about Filmation. It's crazy, 2 situations 100% identical. We wanted a more realistic & mature show but they knocked the age range down to baby/toddler. Filmation turned MOTU into The Smurfs & now the same thing has just happened with the Transformers.Â
You know why 1 is accepted & the other one is not? Filmation MOTU has 40 years of nostalgia. That's it! It's just funny to see all the push-back I'm getting on here over my Filmation complaints & then seeing pretty much everybody agree with me over on the Transformers side. Over the same exact issue. You can make a cartoon aimed at kids that teenagers & adults can still enjoy. Or you can make a cartoon aimed at babies, toddlers, pre-schoolers that teenagers & adults find hard to watch. Filmation & the new Transformers movie aimed too low. Too silly. Too goofy.
 Transformers has Rescue Bots, a toy line & TV show specifically aimed at the really young children. Walmart has an action figure aisle & a totally separate aisle for Imaginext, Playskool & the younger pre-school toys. There is a difference. That's my point about the Filmation cartoon. The age range is all screwed up. On one side you have hot sexy babes like Teela, Sorceress & She-Ra and on the other you have goofy, baby s*** like Cringer, Orko, Imp & Broom. Broom is straight out of Disney's Beauty & The Beast movie.  Â
For me, Transformers is #1 and MOTU is #2. The issue/complaint is exactly the same. But the response is black & white opposite. Just wanted to point that out. lol Nostalgia is a helluva drug!
@sci-fitsunami it's one thing to bring it up in a conversation, but to make a post starting out with a good discussion starter, then bring up some of the criticism for an unrelated brand just so you can go for three more paragraphs bashing the Filmation cartoon is a whole other level.

I'm really excited for the Powers of Grayskull stuff. Is Vac Metal less expensive than flocking? Because that seems to guarantee a MC or retailer exclusive path for He-Ro. I'm curious if Eldor's hood will be removable or how they'll add to the design. Â
Â
Â
@dynamicg I'm not sure in vac metal is more expensive than the really good flocking they did for Panthor and Mossman but it is most likely more expensive than simply painting.

First, is there a Toy Habits forum? Where did you post? This is just my curiosity and looking for other places to read about \ chatter about this kind of stuff.
Â
Â
@dynamicg I heard there was one during one of his videos but can’t find it anywhere on his site.
@andy_wan_kenobi it wasn’t announced, speculation from the eternia box art.

Y'all are completely misunderstanding my comment. Way up above, @Kraken said he/she thought that the "news" from Toyhabits about Eldor and He-Ro was old.
Â
I suggested that they might be confusing this with Eldor being an unreached goal for the Eternia crowdfunding and that was why they thought they had seen the news before.
