How many minutes did Rokkon last for?  I had to work, so I wasn't able to log on until a little bit ago, but it looks to be sold out.  It is the first exclusive I wanted that I missed out on, mainly because they switched dates.

CM Dom posted in the Mattel Creations forums when he sold out, which was at 1:23pm ET.  

 

I vaguely recall an interview from when the idea to move Vintage Origins to MC was just announced and some Mattel rep assured people that of course everyone who wanted those figures would be able to get them. Well, that worked out  great then 😀 Not only because it sold out so fast, but because it was region locked too. I don't think that was ever supposed to be the case..n

Only 19 figures remain unannounced to complete the Vintage Collection. This includes Titus and Megator, as well as the rest of the Lost wave of 88.

 

Well, "only" is relative - at maybe 4 figures a year (?), it'll take well over four years to get through that. Makes me wonder if they either decide to skip some more obscure figures, or shorten their release cycle. Which makes sense, but would be annoying unless they start bundling figures or introduce the BBTS-style "pile of loot".

And if Mattel Creations continues to release only 1 figure per month, we still have over another year to go.

But they probably won't release a figure every single month. Look at the 4 month (Sept. - Feb.) gap between Lady Slither & Rokkon. 

And they are going to drag the line out with deep-cut characters like Demo-Man.  So we're probably looking at a long, slow 3 or 4 more years. 

And I was in a hurry to finish up & be done with the frustration & aggravation. 

I lost out on Rockon because the site had some stupid glitch and my payment would not finish processing. It just kept reloading the page saying "we couldn't finish processing your payment due to technical issues".

This is inexcusable. It's bad enough when these limited sales happen for special releases, but they cannot let this be the way all the rest of the line id done! Everything needs to be made to order and/or available from other retailers.

@lasastard I could see them doing the Laser He-Man and Skeletor in a two pack, maybe the battle top guys too.

I got a shipping notice for Rokkon.  

I decided to skip Rokkon. I'm more interested in getting Lord Grasp. Also, I do agree Laser He-Man and Skeletor would probably a two-pack. And honestly, the Classics versions of those two is still reasonably priced, but I understand that they are a different scale than Origins.

@he-dad if they do I’d say most likely a crowd fund. If we do get them I’m going to pass on the vintage ones I keep putting off buying

An online mart run by some guy has CC Merman, CC Stratos and FF TRI-KLOPS! 

Filmation Mer-Man is my most wanted out of the entire origins line, vintage and CC combined. There is just something about that character... 😀 Even bought the CG Mer-man of off Ebay, sure as hell made a scalper happy that day.

Also he seem to not have any loops on his belt for the extra attachments.

It's not a separate belt - it's the moulded waist piece from Rattlor (and Rattle-Hood and Fangor).

I guess back in 1988 either they forgot about the belt or weren't planning to include the hook and claw. The original art shows him carrying a Snake Staff in his left hand which would be tricky but suggests he might not have had a full set of attachments.

@timrollpickering that snake staff seems to be coming with Lord Gr'Asp now. That or the mixed up the accessories like they did with CC wave 1 or the figures will come as a set.
