Nice to Meteor you, Rokkon!
Mattel Creations has just announced that pre-orders are launching of February 16th for the Masters of the Universe Origins Rokkon figure.
Here are all the details:
“Thrown across the universe by the evil Hordak, the Comet Warriors landed on Eternia. The young soldier known as Rokkon and his brethren fought alongside the heroic Masters of the Universe in their battle against evil.
“Like all Rock People, he can fold his humanoid body into a boulder and deflect laser blasts with his rocky exterior.
“This figure comes with a special mini comic to help tell his story. Masters of the Universe Origins™ Rokkon™ Action Figure Figure stands 5.5 inches tall 16 points of articulation. Fold his body to become a rock and comes with ray gun. Features premium MOTU Origins packaging.”
The Masters of the Universe Origins Rokkon Figure will be available exclusively on MattelCreations.com for preorder on Feb 16, 2024 9:00am PT for $20.00. We’ll see you next time!
I think I’m more excited about the mini comic than the figure.
I just did some checking. Origins Rokkon’s art doesn’t seem to reference his vintage card art or his vintage mini comic. I think that makes the appearance of Modulok more significant.
Modulok is coming!
@asterstar I know I’ve said that packaging art is not necessarily an indication of upcoming figures, but with the VC going exclusively to MC, and ToG being a short line I think it’s more likely.
It says February 21st on Mattel Creations.
@mrhootiedean stand down from red alert.
I’ll still be logging on today just in case someone pressed the wrong button on a keyboard somewhere in Mattel.
I don’t currently plan on sitting at my computer pressing the refresh button for a week, but I’m not willing to make any promises.
It looks like a general problem. Clicking through on other items from the front page brings the same messages of
“At this time we are unable to accept orders shipping outside of the US. We appreciate your patience while we work to resolve this matter. "
and
“This product cannot be shipped to your country"
regardless of whether it’s Buy Now, Pre-Order Now or Made To Order.
Actually, I just noticed this message at the top of the Rokkon page on MC:
“At this time we are unable to accept orders shipping outside of the US. We appreciate your patience while we work to resolve this matter."
So they possibly pushed the launch for a week to resolve it so they don’t exclude international buyers.
That is crazy. @admin are you going to report on this?
I’m reluctant to. My fear is the small chance there is something wrong with the counter and it goes on sale today anyway and I have already steered people away. That would be a nightmare!
@admin oh shit that would be bad. OK nevermind bro. 😂
@admin thats the first thing that came to mind last night, when the date change was posted on here.
@banthafett Now that Mattel confirmed it, all is good to report. 🙂

Well, that’s a bummer, was looking forward to getting my pre-order in. Now I have to do it at work next week… people will surely understand, I just have to explain to them that I need that little rocky dude for my collection of 80s nostalgia half-naked plastic men!
