        1. @smitty-81 The Scare Glow is a 16 inch soft vinyl figure (like the Godzilla ones they sell). Mondo is going to be making another Scare Glow figure that will be out in 2024 in anticipation of Nightmare likely being released next Fall.

          is the new scare glow official? @banthafett was wondering about that

          The Scare Glow is official. They actually showed the concept slide at DesignerCon. If you look up Thebadassreviews on IG he has a picture of the slide in his story. Mondo also reposted his story on their story.

            Got it! Thanks @skeledog and @smokinya ! 🙂

      1. @smitty-81 I’ve been most excited about him. Anyone have a clue on how much he’ll cost?

        Probably a similar price to the other soft vinyl that Mondo produces. I would guess $150-$250. Leaning towards the $150 myself. It is a bigger and more complex piece due to the actual skeleton inside of him. I know Hector said it was quite a challenge to figure out.

    1. That unmasked Orko is an abomination.

      I really should post it through social media inquiring how everyone feels about it. Thanks for sparking the idea. 🙂

      Is this the launch of a new line? Upscaled vintage figures?

      I believe I remember the idea of more figures coming out in this “Retro" line being teased, but I can’t recollect where precisely. Perhaps in one of their casts. 🤔

      @endzeit
      I remember watching the Planet Eternia interview panel on Youtube, that they had with Mondo in the Fall and Hector had mentioned that this will hopefully be the start of a new MOTU line. He specifically mentioned Roboto as a top candidate for the soft vinyl with a clear chest and visible gears on the inside. I think it will depend on how well Scare Glow sells. But the 1:6 line is doing really well. In the same panel they mentioned that Beast Man sold really, really well which is great news for Whiplash and Clawful. There was another interview about 5 months ago where they were asked about those 2 and they essentially said they want to do them, but it will depend on the sales of Beast Man since they’re bigger characters.
      I’ll try to see if I can find some of these panels and link them, they have a lot of good information.
      EDIT: Link to Planet Eternia’s interview with Mondo. Its about an hour long, this is where they first spoke about the new Scare Glow deluxe figure, the soft vinyl line. They spoke about the Beast Man sales on the Panthor toy talk here. Its somewhere in that hour long video.

  1. @banthafett sorry that was a typo on my side. I meant that I think he’s going to cost $250.
    Never thought of Scare Glow being the Boba of MOTU before now. He is a favourite of mine so I’m happy that we’re getting another deluxe figure of him. I have the Classic variant they did of him a couple years back, but he doesn’t fit super well with the other characters.
    Not sure if I’ll scoop the soft vinyl of him. It’s super cool, but between Mondo 1:6 and the Legends line there isn’t enough room anymore

        1. @adam_prince-of-eternia They wouldn’t glow. The rest of the clear translucent material would be cast in GITD. The bones would be a void in the middle of all that. Using negative space to establish shape. Would remind me a lot of the original figure in the way it’s paint apps established shadow. However, his skull would still be the same color as the “flesh".
          Another thing that may be cool would be the bones cast in a slightly darker clear greenish GITD material. I feel like they could keep going back to the well with variants on this. They should explore more colorway options.
