Unless you've got a lot a very large number of active users (hundreds or thousands) and really need them, it's harder to keep momentum with lots of subforums.Â
Just unsolicited advice from someone who's seen a lot of forums come and go since the 90s and looked after a few. It's with good intentions, honest.
I'd have to agree insofar as there are some subforums that seem kinda inactive and some of the subforums probably could be merged for "readibillity". As it stands, it all looks a bit overwhelming and "busy".Â
Â
How condensed would you prefer? As in, for an example, series and movies in all one subforum "Series and Movies"?
We have the Power!
The way we've done it elsewhere has tended to be a forum for [franchise] toys and merchandise including customs, a forum for "other" toys and merch, a forum for official media, a forum for fan art/fiction, a broad "general discussion" forum for anything that didn't fit elsewhere and misc chat, etc. The forums generally got consolidated over time. In years gone by it was worth creating a new subforum per current series/toyline rather than a big reactions thread for each, but there just aren't as many people around now.
Similarly, things like a "UK collecting thread" get more visitors checking in than creating new threads for everything new found/bought.

Thanks so much for your patience and suggestions! It has been implemented and hopefully it is much more easier to navigate as a result.
Appreciate you both. 🙂

Thanks, that looks much better! In reality, you end up with a handfull of active topics and having them not get spread out over a bunch of subforums makes the whole thing infintely more readble.Â
Cheers, definitely easier to find stuff.
AJ, do you have Google Analytics running on your site? That could provide a lot of insight, even from lurkers.
Now that we're at it I think the "CLICK HERE" images take up too much space. Here is a sample of the front page in a common window size. I dont even see the forum there.
Thanks so much for the feedback @endzeit !
This was definitely on the radar. I knew on a desktop pc they were large, but also knew you could just scroll right past them... but I have been looking for code to reduce and enlarge those icons based on what device you view it on (desktop/mobile).
In the meantime, I have reduced their overall appearance.
Appreciate it! Thanks again! 🙂

I didn’t want to start a new thread so I’ll stick this here. This is the third time this has happened when I try to read his comic
Thanks so much for letting me know @brascoÂ
I do not see any issues at first glance, so just to confirm, this is the page you are experiencing the problems? https://foreternia.com/community/fan-creations/masters-of-the-smittyverse/paged/3#post-6435

@admin the link you posted works but it doesn’t work when I click his actual thread. This happened 2 other times but after a few tries I was able to view it
So I tested clicking on the actual thread and it took me to the same link:
Maybe it didn't work for a few moments but now it does function properly and unfortunately that error got stuck in your browser's cache? (Can you try clearing out your the cache in your browser and see if it remedies the problem?)
Really sorry you had to go through this! Â

No need to apologize. I cleared my cache and that did the trick. Thanks for the help!
