I think the "For Eternia" banner at the top of very page is a bit big. To me it seem very intrusive and make the forums somewhat difficult to read.

Yeah, I think bbPress (the Wordpress plugin the forum seems to be) is very much optimised for mobile. On a normal 24" monitor the header is huge. And there's quite a bit of padding in the navigation bar below it.
It's possible to create a blocking rule for that specific image which does free up a lot of space.

I reduced the maximum width of the entire site as a starting test, though unfortunately I am currently far away from a laptop. Can you see if it has improved your pc viewing area experience whenever you have the opportunity? (I know some of the menus will require re-formating if this becomes part of the solution.) Thanks! 🙂

It's more in proportion at different resolutions. I've never done anything with bbPress but I'm guessing it's possible to style the #site-navigation nav block so that it has less height/padding, something like this maybe:
