Well it does not really look like DreamWorks was ok with it, if they were I bet She-Ra would have been in it! Legally speaking this cannot be the sequal to the 80s show unless DreamWorks approves of it as such. We can even see that in the wording used by Kevin Smith multiple times? Another red flag is that it looks like this is a timeline where He-Man(Adam) never meet She-Ra(Adora), if that is so we can safely take it as a alternate timeline that is very true to the 80s one and also a potential "What if She-Ra never happened" which is still cool to me! Speaking of what if the new SPOP is in my eyes the "what if the Horde won against Eternia" timeline. 😉Toy sales and Netflix revenue may play into it, in Mattel case I suspect they wanna gain more on toy sales. I do currently suspect the the new She-Ra may cost them more licence wise than the 80s ones, so Mattel obviously want classic She-ra to appear...@catra The problem is always money and not wanting other companies to have a piece of that pie.
Exactly. Especially with Revelations / Revolution set up as a "continuation of the 1980s series" (even though most agree it's more of an AU).
Some of the press releases describe it as such (as a follow-up). Although, those were pretty early releases.
I agree with you on the alternate timeline thing. It's one of the reasons many of the fans (like me) consider it an AU. Either way, we won't know for sure until they release more info.

A few things I remember the creators of She-Ra said was they could not have Castle Gray Skull & no planet Eternia! The Princesses could also be from space and try to stop the evil Horde from taking Earth? But that is what I was thinking for the live-action Amazon She-Ra, they could go for an entirely different take, something as drastically different as the 1987 film was to Filmation, or how different the 2021 Netflix Children's Series turned out to be. Or Adora starts out as a normal Earth teenager, or so she thinks! I am REALLY curious what they are planning to do!🙂

Would think Adora would not approve of being mean, also that would cause this to be rather personal! I love all the possible paths this could go in such a setting, however I think the high school part should be first season only? Edit: Also the Princesses with element powers could be from Etheria, they fleed their world after the Horde took it over. Bow and Seahawk could be from either of the two worlds depending on what is needed? I personally think Seahawk should be the space captain who brought the rebellion to earth on a ship! :3

Maybe Adora is not of Earth but her mind was wiped and she was hid on Earth by the Horde. And Catra is there impersonating as an Earth human too as Adora's friend, watching her and making sure the mind wipe holds. She's her enemy but they slowly became real friends and all her feelings are mixed. Then there is some jail break of sorts when the resistance finally finds Adora and tries to convince her that she's something more but it takes all season for her memory to finally come back. 🤔

I'm thinking age 17 or 18 in her Senior Year of High School (12th Grade). Adora would be an adult and a child, the best of both worlds. 🙂

Would be really awkward for her to say "ya know mom won't let me have visitors, also our place is kinda a dump. It's possible Shadow Weaver can be disguised as She-Ra's mom. Or she's just living with a real foster parent, placed there with a bogus story. Until it all hits the fan. I like the idea of her world crumbling around her, as she wonders who can she trust. It could setup some quality drama... and comedy!
