@ninadust Yes, that's another thing - none of the cast or crew have done any interviews or media promotion. It's the sound of crickets all around. Makes me wonder if they don't have confidence in the final product. As mentioned before, even Kevin Smith has been eerily silent, and we all know how hard it must be for a relentless shill like him to keep his big mouth shut. Nothing even from Ted Biaselli lately either, and he LOVES TO TALK.
Other than release a few Revolution themed figures, has even MATTEL said a single peep about this show on any of their social media channels??? It seems like nobody gives two shits.
So unless there's about to be an explosion of activity in the next 3 weeks, this thing is dead in the water. We're unfortunately looking at a ratings bomb by all indicators right now, which will kill any chance of more animated MOTU for at least a decade. You heard it here first.
Durendal this bleak outlook of yours is not a good way for me to start my weekend hun! 😫
Its very possible that we are getting very little 'promotion' due to the backlash that the promotion of Revelation got. I wonder if they are waiting until its released or just about to be so 'fan"s can't moan about being misled or something again. We shall see.
Alexis Skrull maybe this is why Kevin is not being his usual chatterbox self. Say what you want about him but he's usually very good at promoting things.
At this point we all knew there will be a trailer and poster released either today or next week. No one doubts their existence nor anticipates those promotional bedrocks be skipped mate. His point still stands and concern is well founded. While I do not concur that they want it to fail I do not see steps taken in a timely manner to ensure its success.That a trailer had not been released was the premise of his entire argument. Now that we know that a trailer is being released next week, "we all knew there would be a trailer" and "his point still stands and his concern is well founded." How do you figure?
The premise of the argument mate is not when or will the trailer be released. Otherwise Durendal would just have asked that. The premise is 20 days out and why haven't they started promoting already including a trailer. This doesn't get resolved by waiting another week for a trailer.
I put it below so you can give it another read.
20 days out and still no new trailer, no online social media hype, no tie-in merch, nothing. Are they trying to get this to fail?
No worries. My sources tell me the Trailer is coming next week 😉 (+Poster)

COUNTDOWN TO A REVOLUTION! Will the souls of Fisto and Clamp Champ be saved? 💥18 Days💥 until "Masters of the Universe: Revolution" premieres on Netflix this January 25th.

A fair few fans were saddened by Fisto and Clamp Champs brief appearnce in Revelation. To that I say try being a Stinkor fan. Hopefully he appears in Revolution and crates a bit more of a stink but I doubt it. I feel alone in my love for Stinkor.

Durendal questions if Mattel and Netflix want Revolution to fail, which is preposterous on its face. And his support for that assertion is that they have not promoted the series 20 days out from its debut. And a trailer is one of the types of promotion he listed as expected.
Jukka replied that the trailer is being released next week. That is, the promotion is beginning two weeks out, rather than three. This should not only answer the question of Durendal, but completely assuage his concern.
Yet, you are attempting to change the subject, suggesting that the concern is still well-founded. By all means, explain how. Do you have a terminal degree in advertising, and 20 years of experience in marketing? What expertise do you have that suggests two weeks of promotion is concerning, but three weeks is not?
@adam_prince-of-eternia I don't usually speak up but do you always go looking to start a fight?

If you read the OP it never stated three weeks of promotion isn't concerning but two is. It was a bewilderment with it being 20 days out and they still haven't started with anything which is a fair question considering what we experienced in marketing with Revelation mate.

I said I don't agree that it's intentional but it's a fair question that other people are asking as well. If you continue to twist words and manufacture arguments I'll know you are being deliberately obtuse and argumentative for an argumentative sake.

Revelation had so much fun build up. Do yall remember this magazine? I still have it!
@ninadust I have it too. 🙂

In one second of footage during November 2023's Netflix Geeked Week Event - "Spotlight on Masters of the Universe: Revolution w/ Powerhouse Supervising Producer Shane Minshew", we saw magical clouds transition into a Panthor-like form. Is Skeletor's kitty returning? 🐾 💥17 Days💥 until "Masters of the Universe: Revolution" premieres on Netflix this January 25th.

As a kid I used to feel that way about Webstor but you probably felt that more with Stinkor. I have to admit though, in recent years, with the 2002 Mike Young Series and Revelation, Stinkor has indeed received love where others haven't (like Batros and Icer for instance!) Stinkor even received his own origin story in 200X so there is certainly love for Stinkor among many creators, that is for certain! 🙂
We have the Power!
Thank you the kind words, I don't feel so lonely now.
I'm just being greedy for screen time. Hopefully one day in the future The Stinkor Show will come into being, one can only dream.
By the way, cheers for posting the Revelation and Revolution check list article.
I had collected Revelation and Masterverse comics but looks like I missed Forge Of Destiny. Haven't been to the comic shop
for a good while.
Downloaded the issues now on the Kindle, I'll wait til closer to the main event before I read them.

I like 200X and I like Stinkor but that origin of his was lame.

Why do you not speak up when people are spouting nonsense, but only when others challenge it?

Again, what is bewildering about it? It is entirely fair to question when the promotion will begin. It is not fair to suggest that because it has not begun by an arbitrary date that Durendal has assigned, that is evidence Mattel and Netflix want Revolution to fail. Nor is it fair for you to co-sign that sentiment as totally valid and sound without any evidence.
@caliban Precisely. 🍻

I really thought we would get the trailer today because it was MOTUesday. Thank goodness we got the Gates McFadden news otherwise I would be extremely bummed.
