Karen Fukuhara (the actress who voices Glimmer and Kipo) wants to see a She-Ra / Kipo crossover.

https://www.digitalspy.com/tv/ustv/a34384948/she-ra-karen-fukuhara-movie-kipo-crossover/

Given the various crossovers that MotU has had over the years, the idea doesn't surprise me. Honestly, I could see it happening.

What about you guys? You want to see this?

I had no idea they were discussing a She-Ra and the Princesses of Power movie spin-off. This article is kind of old. Is the movie dead now?

DreamWorks have both so not impossible also would been cool! 😀

Now granted it is just 3 years since the show ended DreamWorks have made movie long long after, also why not make it 3 and also put Voltron into it?

He-Man 2002 (Snake Armor)

I took it as just fantasizing.

Isn't the Kevin Smith stuff maybe moving toward a crossover? I know at the end they hinted at a Horde Prime at the end... Would be a nice addition to get all of the different Masterverse characters under one show.

Yes, but that'll likely be the Revelation universe's version of She-Ra, whom probably has more in common with her 1980s counterpart than her 2018 one. Even though Kevin Smith has gone on record saying he really likes the 2018 She-Ra.

Yeah... But my head is still stuck in the 80s. I'll have to go and see if the 2018 catches my attention.

Well, like I said, Revolution She-Ra is likely going to be closer to the 1980s version.

I personally love both 80s and 2018~2020 version, in my opinion the early half of the show is where it is most like the 80s one. Especially the 2 first which are a reboot of the "secret of the sword 80s movie" however where my favorite parts of the 2010s version starts is from season 3 to season 5 that is when the stakes goes to the moon! 🥺

@catra

No kidding. It also managed to subvert a number of tropes associated with this shows.

One thing I really liked is the character development over the course of the show. As much as I like the classic versions, these versions were some of the most complex characters I've ever seen in any animated show. Your namesake having some of the best of all of them.

@catra No, it's the animation that is hard for me to get into it. I know that probably sounds odd. Judging a show by the animation look but when they turn all the characterers into looking like teenagers I guess it makes me feel detached being an old 80's viewer and wanting the characters to look adult.

They are 17 in the first season, the war from season 1 to season 3 is 3 years tough. 😁

Actually, ND Stevenson confirmed the entire 5-season show took place over 3 years.

I guess it is just the Korean animation style you do not like then, they did try to make it look as Japanese as possible.

Same as another show named RWBY, it is another American show trying to use Japanese style to!

It seems to be the default style of DreamWorks 2D animation, more examples of this is Voltron Legendary Defender & Kipo Age of Wonderbeasts...

Well, the showrunners did admit that they were inspired by anime. They even admit that Adora's She-Ra transformation was based on Sailor Moon's.

That being said, She-Ra really does qualify as a magical girl. A tomboyish, muscular, warrior-type magical girl, but it still counts.

That is interesting. I didn't know that. 🙂
