Was there ever a MOTU 2002 OST?

So far I have OSTs for most of MOTU. Well; kinda. But to my surprise I never found even a trace of a 2002 OST existing. It had a really nice score but even the uploads I found on the Tube are just clipped from the show with sound/noise leftovers from the episodes in it.

Back then the 2002 started with a small bang before it unceremoniously ended in a whimper. It had DVDs, it had a really high quality comic book run, thinkered with a She-Ra reboot for which some great art surfaced.

But... never an OST? As a product released in the digital age? Did I just missed the correct search terms looking for it? I seems so odd to not find a hint for it.

This score has always been a strange to me. Some of it is very good and ironically some of it feels the most dated out of all the scores even Filmation which is absolutely bonkers. With that said I too am interested in obtaining this OST if anyone has any answers.

Yeah, as opposed to the IMO fantastic outro I added above the intro was not really that much of a banger 😆

It felt like they tried to up the Filmation intro which is kinda impossible since its already perfection in its sphere. They could only made something different like McCreary did with Revelation which is also an awesome theme.

Everything you said about the intro and more mate. 🍻 Within the episodes some of the music was more orchestral. I enjoyed those pieces quite a bit. They were very good. I recall other pieces around the second season feeling less orchestral and more of the nineties cartoon era and those are the tracks that I think come off worse for wear. Still there is enough very good that an OST for it would be brilliant.

Bear McCreary's themes are absolutely brilliant. When you can remember a large body of them and hum them to yourself, you know you have yourself a talented composer.

So far there has not been a 2002 MOTU Cartoon (Joseph LoDuca's) OST release.

Mattel holds all the rights to the 2002 cartoon so they are the ones who could license it out for some company to produce a physical release.

However, just like there is no New Adventures OST, the MYP series just isn't as well-known, in comparison to the Filmation counterpart. And not a lot of fan's demand has been present in any forums or FB groups during the years. (sure every once in a while a fan will ponder about it out loud, but that's about it)

Yeah... but... we have 2023. They are aware of digital only releases? I get it for disk releases... somewhat (and even there its questionable considering all the stuff that gets released on CDs all the time). I could see why they do not release a CD now; but not having a digital release for all their stuff is weird.
