Anyone else watch it?
Overall, I think it's pretty good. The characters are interesting, and the world looks like it has alot of potential.
Yeah, the animation is pretty janky in the first season, but it gets better. Given the streamlined nature of the show (9 episodes a season), they don't do alot of worldbuilding, so you will have to read some of the supplemental materials (official website, various books, the "Tales of Xadia" tabletop RPG, etc) if you want to get a clear understanding of everything.
Although, the best part, after they did seasons 1-3, they got Netflix to sign the renewal for the remaining 4 seasons. We're getting all 7 seasons that the creators wanted to make (season 5 coming later this year).
Edit: the creators are also She-Ra fans.

Netflix prepaid for 52 episodes of She-Ra, so there were no renewals for it. I think this show has had one renewal. Well, given all the talk about it online, fanart, cosplays, etc, I'd say it was definitely a success.

It is hard to say. The Netflix Top 10 was introduced before the last season or two of the show and it failed to get into that unlike Revelation, so you could at least say it wasn't a runaway hit. It didn't get renewed or get a sequel series like some of the more popular Netflix DreamWorks shows like Dragons, Kung Fu Panda, Boss Baby, Trollhunters, or King Julian. Its merchandise got clearanced out fairly fast at retail stores. I don't care what anyone says about it, The Dragon Prince is a damn good show.
I fell in love with it when it debuted, and I have been glued to each new season since.
There is a fantastic Art Book published by Wonderstorm / Dark Horse... and some great books as well.
Plus... I have been patiently waiting for my Callum, Ezran, and Rayla statues to ship from Dark Horse Direct!! (An almost 3-year wait now...)
