I will never understand why they make the animation look choppy when they are using computer animation.

It looks like a REALLY old video game cutscene.

This looks amazing!

The idea of seeing several different encounters with the Yautja, throughout history in mini-epics like this, is freakin' incredible.

Even though it has been done (over and over) in the DH comics, this series just looks plain fun as hell.

Seriously. I hadn't heard about this so when I first saw the trailer I was like, "What's this? Another new movie? No it's a game. Wait, Hulu? Oh it's an animated series."

Regardless I'm still interested.

@asterstar Dang. I'm sold.

This looks like it's going to be really fun... three different time periods, three different Predators... oh yeah.

@ornclown The early reactions to this have been stellar.

I watched Killer of Killers last night, and I am thoroughly impressed.

The animation is smooth, the dialogue is not overblown, the fight choreography is fantastic, and the violence is at appropriate Predator levels.

I also appreciate the small touches like having subtitles for the different spoken languages (instead of everyone just speaking English); it makes it more believable and keeps you in a state of disbelief.

The Yautja designs are only so-so, imo. I really like the Predator in the Sword episode, and the viking one is pretty neat too, but the WWII Pred looks like a Star Wars reject.

However, the one big gripe I have is the rewriting of the lore. Longtime Predator fans will likely take issue with the way the Yautja society is portrayed and how some of it seems to be done for the sake of keeping popular characters around longer... even those who were from the 18th century...

But, at the end of the day, it sticks closely enough to the Dark Horse trailblazer books that I'm okay with it... especially if it means we will get more like Killer of Killers!

I really wasn't impressed with how, avoiding spoilers here, it could essentially rewrite the ending of the previous movies just because. Plus it's gonna tie into Ridley Scott's worst Alien movies from what we're hearing. They're already undoing the good work of Prey and messing with the past and the future. It's so bloody unnecessary.

Although it would be absolutely ludicrous... a part of me is excited at the thought of a Dutch, Harrigan, Royce, and Naru team up. Stupid? Yes. Entertaining? Hell, yes.

However, I would be satisfied with more tales of Predators coming to earth at different points in history... a story taking place during the peak of the Pirate Era in the early 1700s, a visit during the Roman Empire's eastern expansion during the 6th century b.c., another visiting Chicago in the 1920s - during the reign of Italian mobsters.

Eventually, I would kill for an accurate adaptation of Dark Horse's original Aliens vs. Predator book done in the Killer of Killers animation style.

Then, Machiko could become the focus of another Predator series... (I have a feeling that a comic-accurate Machiko would become a fan favorite character.)
