Considering how Guardians 3 is, at its core, Rocket's story, and the main focus of his theme is embracing his imperfections and finding peace with his very existence, I find the movie would make Entrapta beyond happy:

"Imperfection is beautiful!"

No wonder why Volume 3 is now my favorite MCU film and why the Guardians franchise is my favorite side of the MCU.

I love the new Guardians movie but the treatment of animals was difficult to see.

Indeed! I think it's also about facing your fears, facing your demons, facing your issues. Basically stop running away from your problems.🙂

Guardians is my favorite MCU franchise too! 🍻 I'd personally rank them:

  1. Vol One
  2. Vol Three
  3. Vol Two

@he-dad There is a surprisingly gory scene in the film too that could give young children nightmares.

@admin I think they get better as they go on. And the first one was awesome already. I don't think that's happened for a big budget nerd culture trilogy since LotR in my books.

I also loved the catch that the High Evolutionary's plan was null right from the start because creating the perfect specimen won't matter if the system they are in is broken. IE it's not about individuals being "good" or "bad" it's about whether or not the system they live in is meant to help them or not. Which is one thing I loved about She-Ra. The First One's society was, at its core, corrupted by Hubris and once Adora destroyed it by getting rid of the first Sword of Protection, it never came back. They decided to make a better, new universe for everybody.

I kind of want ND Stevenson to have control over a GotG product at this point...

I like the comparisons you've made between GOTG and She-Ra. And you're right. Nate would be a good fit I think! 🙂

You should definitely go see it but I also attached a screenshot available on the internet if you are curious. But please be forewarned, It is technically a spoiler and probably not for the very squeamish I would guess.

@admin  It fits with James Gunn because he's cut from the same cloth as other great nerd culture directors. He made a lot of intentionally trashy horror comedy movies for older audiences. Same thing Sam Raimi (Evil Dead) and Peter Jackson (Braindead) did before they got the chance to direct their OWN enormous trilogies for nerds around the world. Also, some people forget, but Gunn wrote the screenplays for the first two live-action Scooby Doo movies, and it looks like people are, rightfully, forgiving them now because Matthew Lillard as Shaggy is nothing short of legendary.
