I'm a returning fan of the MOTU adventures. I had some figures, back in the '80s, as well as the mighty Castle Grayskull. I'm actually trying to restore my lost vintage collection, but I'm finding extremely interesting the New Eternia line of action figures too, as well as some, old and new, from the Revelation series (King Grayskull. Mer-man 2.0 and Battle-cat in particular). My interest towards the new ones has been sparked by one action figure in particular: 40th anniversary He-man. It has an awesome representation of the vintage head sculpt, while keeping a bulkier body version if compared to the actual Revelation toyline. Since the New Eternia new action figures are showing some extremely interesting features that recall the vintage concepts of the artist(s) who started it all in the '80s, and since they have a very similar joints system for the body articulations to the 40th anniversary He-man, I've decided to get some of the most representative of my childhood memories, and I'm enjoying very much this new collection adventure! I hope to find here some cool people, who are collectors like me, to discuss about the new figures and the new adventures on screen (even if I must admit I'm not a fan of how it turned out! 😛 )

You're so welcome to our community, sir! 😊

It's always so lovely when people share their childhood nostalgia for Masters of the Universe and It's also just a joy to read of how folks came back to the franchise.

We're always gushing over the new figures here and AJ has also made it so users can track their toy collections on this site. ♡

Also, if you are looking for recommendations on any other MOTU visual media weather it's cartoons, comics, audio stories, games, never be afraid to ask. Everyone here is wonderful!

Failte and welcome my friend! It is always nice to meet a like minded collector. If you ever need someone to chat with, you can probably tell I'm a huge chatter box. Let me know if there is anything I can do, or just talk about!

Ya... Thats how I was with the old 25th Anniversary G.I.Joe figures. I didn't know anything about any collector sites so it was always the thrill of the hunt. I actually worked for a company who had a Toys R Us located right next door so everyday at lunch I would run over there and see if anything new came out. I think I scored some very lucky figures that were HARD to find. I remember running into other people there as well who came in with their lists to show which figures where valued the highest so we would get to talking and it was interesting to  meet other collectors.

I'll be honest guys... I've been a bit salty with the world these days. There are some adults out there who think adults who run around spending money on toys for themselves are insane and need help. That "Toys are for kids only and that if you want to play with toys it should only be done with your kids". I don't know what to think about that. Same thing with such other issues like cartoons, anime which they are saying is for pedophilia people. I think that is ONE of the worst things you could ever call someone. I'll let you know I'm not even close to being attracted to anyone unless they are like 3 years at most younger then I am. I just don't understand this world and why everyone is attacking anything someone wants to enjoy. I think video games are another one. I don't play a lot of video games but every now and then I'll try it out. But video games are sooooo satanic! I should have told everyone at the buisnesses I worked for who I caught playing solitare on the computer that they were endulging in a satanic practice. And these morons who go around blaming video games for their bad choices is the lamest excuse they can come up with for a defense trial. OOOOooo... The big bad video game made me do it! I've been playing video games for 40 something years now and not ONCE have I had any influence too go out and start hurting people because that what I did in something like Doom or Call of Duty. If anything, video games taught me some tactical advantages while I was involved with the Army. I should have told them I couldn't join the army because I played video games and might end up shooting everyone.

Sorry. Just having a hard time really understanding things. Stop blaming behavoior on your love of having toys you loved and cared about as a kid. Enjoy them even if all you do is pose them a little on the shelf each day. I guess if you really feel a video game is making you want to go out and hurt someone. Go get some HELP! I'm sure you have friends or family who would be very much willing to point you in the right direction.

Sorry... Just had to get it all out of my system.

@bricrue I must say I feel uncomfortable telling people around me about my interest for "collectible toys". I have a friend who is even more nerd than me, but he's kinda borderline (no job, always closed in his bedroom for the Covid situation, always searching for the rarest videogames collector's editions, statues, gimmicks and such, no other activities or interests), while the others I know hardly read comics.

It is both frustrating and embarrassing, since I cannot find anyone to chat about these things with. So I normally collect such figures and wander the internets about this matter without sharing my interest with anyone in real life.

@alteredquantum

You are more then welcome to talk to me about it ANYTIME. I grew up as nerdy as can be. Back when nerds were bullied and trieated bad and made fun of. You have no idea how many times people made me the blunt of their joke right in the middle of class. I grew up very isolated. For a while I had no friends at all. From Elementry school to like 5th grade I was part of the popular group. Even had some of the cute girls wanting to be a couple. Then my friends started turning on me. They would hear about some girl wanting to hook up with me and made an effort to tell them I wasn't interested but that they would happily be a couple with them. I even suck to a strict "Bro" code where if one of my friends was interested in a girl, I wouldn't for the life of me ever consider being a couple with that girl. Yet, the other way around... Rotten friends. I remember when Dungeon's and Dragons came out and in early days before all the backlash on it, even my friends who were considered popular loved sitting around the table playing with me. Then football season started and the whole nerd bashing thing started so a lot of the things I loved doing labeled me as a nerd. I was hurt at first... No, not true. It still hurts to think about it. I had no friends up until Highschool. I spent most or my time hanging out with my brothers, collecting Comic books and playing with action figures. I think my brothers interest in toys died out around 6th grade though but I still had my moments of going in my room alone and playing with my figures. Mostly they were G.I.Joe with some mix of Masters of the Universe, Chuck Noris, BraveStar, Super Powers, and some Starwars. My first ever action figure was an old guy who went with some TV adventure people set by Fisher Price. Some neighbor had accidently run over him with the lawn mower and didn't want him anymore. He was nice enough to think of me since he could tell thats what I was interested in. Most of my dolls or other toys were always taken out back by my older brothers and chopped up with an axe. I don't know why they did that but it still stings thinking about it. I wanted a six million dollar man for a very long time but my parents always said I wasn't old enough and wouldn't take care of him. I finally got one for christmas but he ended up in parts out back. I tried to collect all the parts thinking I could put him back together but most of the parts got lost. Can't remember if I mentioned this but that little old man from fisher price I still have. I made sure to keep him a secret for many years. To this day I still have that little old man and wanted to use him as a type of Mr. Rogers like character in some videos I want to do.

But really my friend, I won't judge you. I know what it's like to grow up loving something so much where someone else always hass to poke fun. You can talk comic books, action figures, tv shows... What ever you like as I do enjoy just being everyones friend. There is so much negativity and backlash in the world these days that is just sad. We are living in a very negative world right now.

Here is a picture of my old man guy sitting in the house I created for him.

@bricrue well, I am quite a nerd myself: I have some comics, like Akira, Hokutonoken, Death Note, and a recollectuon of old comics titled "the savage sword of Conan, who, by the way,, was a strong inspiration for the creation of He-man (Skeletor, as well was inspired by one of Conan's main villains:Thulsa Doom).

I am really into fantasy, more than Sci-fi, even if I think the best results come from a mix of both, as everybody can see in Star Wars and the very same Masters of the Universe world. I'd love to see a traduction of MOTU into a good videogame, more than a live action movie, with the aid of all modern technologies available today. It would be really awesome! An open world game in which the player can choose which character to play, be it good or evil!

It's not Masters of the Universe but Conan Exiles really gives you a feel of freedom to be who you want, evil or good and is very much an open world experience. I could look into opening up another server if anyone would be interested.

I'm also toying around with making a fantacy game right now using that RPG Maker MV program. With that game you can do pretty much anything you want or what your imagionation can bring. It's not open world but kind of fun to use to make your own RPG game. I am really surprised though that they have not looked into making a Masters of the Universe game. Anyway...

Welcome!!! And I agree! If a collector finds one of the good ones with a terrific paint application (there are some bad ones our there unfortunately), that 40th Anniversary He-Man is absolutely spectacular! Also good luck restoring your lost vintage collection! That will be a fun hunt! So happy you joined us! 🙂

Welcome to this awesome community! Everyone is so nice and amazing here, it's really fun to be a part of it. 🙂

I knew it was a struggle for collectors who lived in many other countries outside the US, but I didn't realize Canada was one of them. Sorry to hear that, but you have an amazing attitude about it! 🙂
