@he-dad Why not. I have nothing but time, now that I am retired from the military.
Congratulations on your retirement. If you're serious that is amazing. Everyone is desperate for a motu game even an unauthorized motu game. I am sure @admin would promote it too!
Â
I second this. I'm currently in a 3D art and animation course, but I still got about 3 - 6 months before I graduate. Then I gotta hunt for a new job (stocking shelves sucks). I can't do much now, but I might be able to help later.

First, thank you for your service.
And second, if you and @costume-n00b do this, we can definitely permanently promote it here. From progress reports to something permanent on the main page when it's done! It would be awesome! 🙂

@admin @costume-n00b @he-dad Thanks,For clarification sakes. I was medically retired from the military it was not really my choice in the matter.Â
The main subject. I need to organize myself and put all the ideas down in documentation for organizational purpose. I had thought about building a open source game engine specifically around the idea of of scanning RFID items and make different classes for namely : Characters, Abilities and Maps. By doing that and making a prototype of a Motu game I think it should be enough build a community around. That way Groups can organize and have specific projects like say making certain play styles, game modes, etc. When I finish the documentation Ill upload it here for everyone to go over.

With 3D art and animation under your belt, what's your dream job?

Hopefully doing modelling or animation for a game or film studio. I'm still exploring my options. Especially since there are no real animation jobs (or even an animation community, for that matter) where I live.

Awesome. Good luck!
Luckily this day and age, while there probably would still be some traveling involved, I hear many jobs in your field do not require you to live and report to a dedicated office but rather allow you to work virtually.

Thanks. That's what I'm hoping for.

@wundar If you can get everything organized, and it all set up and if it works, sign me up to find a way to play it. I've been wanting a MOTU RPG game for years! I was doing a little Dinsey Infinity Inspired Description and Special Ability description yesterday. The "Starter Pack" characters would've been He-Man, Teela, and Man-At-Arms. Usually, as far as the Masters go, they're easily some of the most recognizable.
@costume-n00b @deltavax Appreciated, The engine design documentation is slowly coming along. I am ordering some RFID stripes and a small usb RFID reader for testing.
@wundar This might be a little soon to ask, but would you do expansions such as The Great Rebellion, the Snake Men, the Horde and Grayskull's Heroic Warriors. Whether campaigns and or bonus characters?
Hey, He-Man.org people, what do you think about all this?

You To play as many characters as possible? For me that’s easy. If would be similar to Marvel’s Ultimate Alliance. I have 3 brothers and we all played the hell out of that game. You would have to beat it twice, once as a hero and once as a villainÂ
@adam_prince-of-eternia yeah, I've seen that one. Really well done fan game.

I'd like a classic side scrolling hack and slash game, along the lines of Golden Axe and the Konami Ninja Turtles series.
@rocketpunch That fan game Adam_Prince of Eternia pointed out is like that.

I think a good "beat 'em up" game would work. Skeletor, Hordak and King Hiss hatch a plan to put something in the atmosphere that makes He-Man slightly more vulnerable to physical attacks. He-Man and She-Ra as player 2 have to fight their was through different parts of Eternia that are over run with baddies. At the end of each stage you'll face one of the major villains (Beastman, Catra, Rattlor). Finally at Snake Mountain you'd face a boss rush fighting Skeletor, King Hiss and Hordak.Â
Â
Unlockible characters could be Wun-Dar, He-Skeletor and King Grayskull.Â

Something like the Lego games (e.g. Star Wars, Harry Potter) would work best for me: play through a story, unlocking new characters and abilities as you go, and with enough collectibles in each level to make it worth re-playing them with different characters so you can find everything. I really enjoy the sense of humour in the Lego games too.
@costume-n00b Yes, but I don't own a PC, so I can't play that. I want an official game for consoles. Along the lines of TMNT: Shredders Revenge, or the upcoming Toxic Crusaders beat 'em up. That fan made game does look fantastic, though.
