Back in February we reported that there were more “Masters of the Universe” comics on the way in the form of “Andra“, a one-shot comic written by Revelation/Revolution actress Tiffany Smith that was due out in comic book stores July 23rd.

And last August we reported on the “Turtles of Grayskull” Trade Paperback coming May 14th (which was later pushed back to June 2025).

And now, neither are coming out as hoped. According to Dark Horse Comics, these releases have been delayed. The “Masters of the Universe: Andra” Comic will now be released two months later on September 17, 2025….. and the “Turtles of Grayskull” Trade Paperback will now be released a month and a half beyond that on November 04, 2025.

Why the delays? We don’t know for certain, but we assume it’s all the uncertainty in the industry. Earlier this year, the giant Diamond Comic Distributors filed for bankruptcy and has been going through a complicated sale and restructuring that caused shockwaves (and layoffs across the industry.)

And now we learned that, just a couple of days ago, Diamond Comic Distributors canceled all comic orders from Marvel, Dark Horse, Boom and IDW (meaning these major comic publishers are no longer able to offer their comics to shops in the United States through Diamond’s distribution network.)
How long will it last? We don’t know, but right now all this turmoil has left comic publishers struggling to figure out how to fully get their comics into retailers stores (and into consumers’ hands).

We’ll see you next time.
