Is that it?
We have been worried about a new season happening for the Netflix “Masters of the Universe: Revelation & Revolution” animated series for a long time.
While the majority of the fandom was definitely behind the sophomore entry to this critically acclaimed series titled “Masters of the Universe: Revolution“, we have been very concerned that there was not enough of the overall general public watching it (so much so that we featured two articles on the topic:)

And now the latest advertisement for Mill Creek Entertainment‘s “Masters of the Universe: Revelation & Revolution” Blu-Ray Steelbook (coming May 13th) is being billed as the “complete series“.

Of course, we have seen this from Mill Creek Entertainment before. When the “He-Man and the Masters of the Universe” Kid’s Show DVD set was announced as a “Complete Series”, it definitely rang true (that show being ultimately canceled / not renewed).

Perhaps it is within Mill Creek Entertainment’s contract with Netflix that they can’t release a MOTU series on physical home video until the series is complete? We don’t know for certain.

But the good news is… this latest advertisement also revealed what appears to be a book (or booklet) that is an extra incentive to purchase the Steelbook! Check it out:

There are no details yet regarding exactly what this is, how many pages it runs and what information this book will contain. Hopefully we will know more soon.

The Masters of the Universe: Revelation & Revolution Blu-Ray Steelbook will be available May 13th, 2025.
We’ll see you next time.
Nooooooo!!!!!!!!! She-Ra was going to come!!!!!
😿
To the bonus book.
To the complete series.
The chance of a Keldor redemption story goes up in flames.
I’d love to get one of those if it gets an release around here. 😀
But if thats it after they got so much right with the 2nd season it would be shitty indeed. 😔
Fandom strikes again!
Not enough fans (or anybody else) watched it because Kevin Smith made it toxic. That’s what happens when you not only bait and switch with the trailer but inevitably get caught lying about it when the show airs!
I’m sure people will cry everything from haters and grifters to right wing whatever, but Kevin lit the touch paper then began blaming fans. The very people who are supposed to give it a chance, the very people who might tell others to watch the show. This is a project killer every time.
Don’t worry. The movie will be 100 times better.
The promotion for Revolution was abysmal so I’m not surprised.
It was fun while it lasted but I am ready for a new show on Amazon. They are already making the movie. Maybe it is time for the universe to be under new management.
I thought, given the hoopla and fanfare surrounding Revelation and Revolution, they were very overrated. I found myself getting bored and looking at my phone throughout many of the episodes. I’m beyond ready for the live action movie.
i LOVE this version of MoTU, from the artstyle, to the animation, the more mature take on eternia and it’s inhabitants and ofc, i love the cast!
but…..we still don’t know the FULL story of what’s going on behind the scenes at netflix, mattel tv, powerhouse etc.
so guys, let’s try not to be too sad. 🩷
we still don’t know.
maybe mills creek is referring to revolution and revelation as “the complete series" because the next part will be a soft reboot, so to speak.
remember when revolution ended? adam abolished the eternian monarchy and leaving it up to an elected leader to govern eternia? remember a seemingly defeated skeletor, stripped of his magic and reverted back to his keldor form? heck, remember THAT post-end credit scene with hordak and despera?
they seemed to wrap up a LOT of story points at the end of revolution, so what if this was to make part 3 a new “jumping on" point for new viewers?
like with star wars (just as an example to give you a better idea of what i mean)
you can watch ep. 4 without having watched the prequel trilogy, or you can start with episode 7 and still follow what’s going on even w/o having seen the first 6 movies.
or like the more recent ghostbusters movies, afterlife and frozen empire. like, you can watch afterlife without having watched the gb 1 and 2 from the 80’s.
tldr; i think the reason why revolution and revelation are being referred to as “complete series" is because the next part will be a soft reboot, like a new show in it’s own right…. but still in the same continuity
Some people still have hope but I’m like dude. It’s been 15 months with no announcement. It’s over.
There were pros and cons to Revelation but it came out at the worst time culturally, plus it was another in an endless list of “your childhood only edgier" efforts that everyone tries when they’re out of ideas on how to grab more universal demographics.
Dont wanna be a negative ned but have to get this off my mind. While I wasn’t much of a fan of revelations ( still watched it) but loved revolution. ( please mattel make me upgrade he man and skeletor 2.0 figures soon)
I kinda knew it was gonna get a third season for a couple of reasons:
Bad marketing ( netflix barely promoted it and they even took off the official trailer which can only be found on mattel creations now)
Half of people being turned off from it ( listen revelation was redeem but honestly it was indeed a bait and switch with that first teaser trailer.)
Funding, netlfix probably pulled the plug on funding half of the show like they did for he man cgi.
The lack of updates on it were the final nails in the coffin.
Honestly while there were still more questions to be solved ( what happens to he man now that he’s no longer bounded to be a king, what happened to leech, manteena, and grizzlor, what became of the cult of motherboard now that motherboard was defeated ( not fully killed as shown in the revolution prequel comic.)
Sadly we must add it to the list of unfinished motu shows that never got a proper ending ( atleast they got decent ones, even if they teased more.)
All and all, we still have the movie on the way so im still satisfied with the motu brand
I kind of figured but this is still depressing. I am thankful for the 2 seasons we got.
