    1. Seriously, this is Marvel comic summer event levels of desperate. No way this many characters can be done justice in one movie.

You don’t need to. It’s like a Transformers movie. Some Autobots and Decepticons are background characters that have moments to shine but aren’t main characters.

I know, but this is obviously a concerted push for hype that’ll leave a lot of people disappointed in the end. Even if all the characters we’re seeing were only in the movie for two minutes each it would still be a mess, it’s not like when the MCU did loads of character building before Avengers.

X-Men movies never needed buildup for all of the mutants. A bad guy appears. A good guy appears. Here are their powers. Fight.

Tbh that’s why they’re rarely mentioned in the same thought process/breath as Blade much less Spider-Man.

Did you see Days of Future Past and First Class? X-Men movies are way more popular and memorable than the Blade movies.

Yeah, Days was good but First was almost boring. I’ve completely forgotten everything but the Wolverine cameo. Tbh popularity doesn’t amount to anything if they’re not memorable with that popularity. Look at the cameos in Deadpool 3, those went absolutely nowhere. There’s rarely much chatter about the X-Men movies, they’re too by the numbers or something and got superceded fast. Way too many of them were rubbish too, and it was the same problem we’ve been discussing, far too many characters to do anything worthwhile with. Look at how tacked on Apocalypse’s minions were, even the younger crew in Days. It doesn’t make for good story or longevity.

I feel Moss Man is a little more recognizable than a random Transformer though. Which deserves a much bigger arc. Plus, and I may be being bias here, but MOTU has a much more passionate fanbase that is going to demand its characters have a bigger story than "background noise" in the plot, and subplots of the film(s).

This is my worry as well which is why there’s no way this can’t be a trilogy at the very least. There are well over 100 relevant characters in the MOTU universe how do they plan on doing this?

I wish they would! This movie was in development hell for years precisely because nobody would agree on the budget!

  1. How dare they, this guy’s not even green!
Joking aside, I’m stocked, but I do wonder how all these characters will fit in the movie, and hopefully its sequels. I really hope they’re not going to appear just once in a big battle scene then never be seen again!
Some big characters like Mer-Man and Stratos should be kept for a 2d movie, so they can have more screentime.

    1. Sarcasm or serious ??

Serious. Have faith in Travis Knight. He is a talented director . He made two movies Bumblebee and Kubo and both are great. I have no doubt Masters of the Universe will be great too.

It needs to be a 3-5 movie series given all the characters and storytelling they’ll need to do in order to do the MOTU universe justice.

  2. At this point I say just go balls to the wall, especially with Evil Warriors. Cram literally all of them in there somewhere.
Even if theres a sequel, they typically don’t repeat main antagonists so we probably won’t see a 2nd film of Skeletor as the big bad, so let’s just get his whole crew somewhere in the first film.

Nah, it’d be the easiest thing in the world to tie all three evil factions to each other via Snake Mountain alone. It doesn’t matter how Skeletor comes to be there so long as he’s connected to Hordak in the past and the Horde come calling on Eternia, as one example. The Snakes appear from the depths of the Mountain or using time travel. Hell, Hordak’s transporting of the Horde through portals would let an insurgent Rattlor or Lashor (they’re anything and everything in the various cartoons) into Snake Mountain to resurrect the would-be reign of Hiss.
What I’m saying is across a trilogy, and studios love a trilogy, you’ve got a new faction each time without having to drop the Evil Warriors completely.

Now if only I believed anybody in Hollywood had the wit…

I agree man, go balls to the wall!

  3. So this is how it’s going to be? Every heroic citizen of Eternia will be thrown in there? So it would be reasonable to expect at least two to three epic minutes to each and everyone to properly shine on screen. PS: I like the charisma of that actor playing “Mother Nature’s Husband" (lol).

I consider 8 movies longevity and that doesn’t count the Wolverine movies. X-Men started in the year 2000. X-Men and X2 were good. People liked it and they didn’t need a backstory for all the characters like Toad. He did what he did.
There is no more chatter about X-Men movies because Disney bought Fox and they haven’t made a new one. Fox ran X-Men into the ground before the sale by making bad movies Apocalypse, Dark Phoenix, New Mutants just like the MCU is currently making bad movies but people were excited to see Marvel Studios X-Men movies regardless. Disney stupidly still hasn’t made one.
